• Xinyou survived his tribulation, reached the Early Daluo Golden Immortal realm, and returned to Ye Lin after Liu Zifang tried to recruit him.

Ye Lin discovered that the Companion God-Devouring Insects had infiltrated Divine Capital City and evacuated the city before fleeing Long River Prefecture. He reached Sunset Prefecture with Luo Yao and his companions, then escaped Tian Yuan Sacred Land with Zhang Ling'er, who joined their journey toward the Nether Sea.

• The Spirit King explained the Companion God-Devouring Insects’ threat, gave Ye Lin a Heavenly Mirror, and helped the Wang Family remove the insects from its infected children.

Ye Lin traveled west with his companions to leave Heaven Province as the Chaos Ancient Clan advanced, stopping in cities where Luo Yao acquired a treasure and he found a cultivation diagram. After advancing to the mid-stage of the Daluo Golden Immortal realm, Ye Lin reunited with Luo Yao and Zhang Ling'er and resumed the journey toward Moon Lake.

• Ye Lin headed west with Zhang Ling'er and Ye Xin after warning that Heaven Province might fall to the Chaos Ancient Clan.
• Ye Lin stayed inside during a city's blood-red ritual and departed the next morning after Zhang Ling'er failed to return from investigating it.
