Ye Lin exposed the Liu Family’s crimes and destroyed the clan, then fought three Mystic Soul Dragon Clan members who attacked him over the Heaven-Devouring Toad Clan’s mark. After they fled and he recovered from his injuries, Ye Lin planned to submit his mission and seek revenge on the Heaven-Devouring Toad Clan.

• Ye Lin stopped Wang Qingyu from killing herself, postponed her wedding to Liu Dazhuang, and investigated the Liu Family’s Alchemy Room, where he found signs that cultivators had been used to refine pills.
• Ye Lin killed the alchemists and Sikong Nantian, then drew a confession from Liu Yun that implicated the Liu Family and several powerful forces.
• Ye Lin defeated the Liu Family’s elders and destroyed the clan, killing Liu Yuan, Liu Yue, Liu Yun, and the other members who resisted or pleaded for mercy.
• As Ye Lin left, Dragon One, Dragon Two, and Dragon Three intercepted him and attacked because he bore the Heaven-Devouring Toad Clan’s mark.

Ye Lin drew Ning Yi into a Boundary Sea battle, survived Ning Yi’s ancient techniques, and received a pill that restored him to peak condition. He then joined Shen Muge and Yun Qiyue as Shen Muge pursued Gu Chen, whose refuge in Great Forest Chan Temple brought her into battle with its Venerable.

Ye Lin helped Shen Muge confront Qingran at Great Forest Chan Temple, then defeated Qingran despite his Mystic Origin Buddha Body. After the victory made Ye Lin a target of Buddhist forces, he traveled to a wedding city, where he met Wei Sinan and witnessed Lu Shuang defeat an attacker.

• Shen Muge entered Great Forest Chan Temple with Ye Lin and Yun Qiyue to find Gu Chen, who had taken the Dharma name Qingran.
• Shen Muge ordered Ye Lin and Yun Qiyue to kill Qingran, while Ye Lin fought and killed the twenty-eight monks who stood in their way.
• Ye Lin battled Qingran, overcoming his Mystic Origin Buddha Body with the Primeval Sword Art and a final strike that unraveled Qingran’s origin.

• Wei Sinan unleashed heavenly lightning on Wei Shang Tian, whose body was reforged as the Taotie power awakened and devoured the tribulation.
