Could this kid really be from a great clan?!

The scarred man began to have second thoughts. Soul Masters like them could never afford to offend a Soul Master clan.

But he had just looked around and seen no clan elders accompanying Mo Li. And when he saw Mo Li's cold, indifferent gaze, anger gradually buried his reason.

The scarred man clenched his teeth. His teammates had already witnessed all his bluster, and if he slunk away now, even they would look down on him.

But Mo Li had clearly held back in that last strike, while he had already used his strongest defense. He had no idea how strong Mo Li really was.

The scarred man's expression shifted several times. Then he drew a deep breath, doing his best to steady his voice, and said:

"Kid, I'll give you one last chance. Get lost right now, and we might let you off the hook!"

Mo Li looked at him as if he were an idiot. Seeing that, the scarred man's fury only grew. Then the first white Soul Ring around him flared with light.

"You brought this on yourself!"

"Martial Soul Possession!"

"First Soul Skill: Charge!"

"Second Soul Skill: Hardening!"

The man roared. His body swelled, his hands grew larger, and his skin turned gray-white again. Like a savage bear, he charged forward with tremendous force.

To be fair, the scarred man's two Soul Skills worked quite well together.

At the same time, Mo Li watched the scarred man's growing momentum and moved.

"Martial Soul Possession."

Mo Li's voice rang out, followed by a strange birdcall. At the same time, a Yellow Soul Ring glowed around him, and dark purple flames instantly spread over his body.

Even the tips of his hair took on a hint of purple, and his expression brimmed with wild, untamed arrogance.

Faced with Mo Li, the scarred man's Martial Soul-possessed body couldn't help but tremble. Fear showed on his partly beastlike face. What was this feeling?

It was a terror that seemed to come from the suppression of bloodlines!

Of everyone there, he was the one most deeply affected by it, since he had possessed his Martial Soul. In an instant, even the force of his charge weakened, but he still came on fiercely.

Mo Li's aura climbed higher and higher. His Soul Skill, Nether Flame, had activated. He clenched his fist, a trace of intoxication crossing his face as he savored the feeling of power coursing through him.

Then he clenched his right hand, covering his fist in purple flames. Moving several times faster than before, he charged straight into the scarred man's attack.

BOOM—!

The purple flames burst open. The hardened layer on the man's arms shattered on impact, and a scorching force slammed into his chest.

"Ugh—!"

His feet left the ground. His massive body flew several meters through the air before crashing down in a cloud of dust. He spat out a mouthful of blood.

When the dust finally cleared, everyone could see that the clothing over the scarred man's chest was charred and torn, thin wisps of white smoke curling from it.

The four remaining members of the squad and Ye Lingling all stared at Mo Li in shock as he slowly lowered his fist.

The boy before them was only seven or eight years old, yet with the strength of a Soul Master, he had utterly defeated a Soul Grandmaster head-on!

"Boss!"

The four remaining Soul Masters hurried over and helped the scarred man to his feet. His breathing was terribly weak. Once he was standing, trembling, he spat out another mouthful of blood. He could clearly feel that several of his ribs were broken.

But the moment he saw Mo Li still standing tall, rage clouded his mind. He glared venomously at his teammates. "What are you waiting for? He can't have much Soul Power left!"

The remaining four were shaken by Mo Li's strength, but at the scarred man's words, they hesitated for a moment, then spread out in perfect unison and surrounded Mo Li.

Though surrounded, Mo Li showed no sign of panic. Just as he was about to attack again, a cool voice sounded from behind the crowd.

"Wait."

The unexpected voice made the Soul Master squad freeze. Even Mo Li looked a little taken aback; clearly, he hadn't expected Ye Lingling to speak up now.

The squad's attention was instantly drawn to her. They all turned to look at Ye Lingling, since she hadn't replied even once to all their earlier taunts.

Mo Li looked over too. Ye Lingling's veil stirred slightly, and her beautiful, deep-blue eyes were filled with coldness.

She glanced coolly at the men before her. In the end, this had all happened because of her. Though she was distant and aloof by nature, Mo Li had gotten into trouble because he was helping her.

Mo Li had shown impressive strength, but the men before them clearly weren't to be trifled with. She couldn't just watch him get hurt without doing anything.

She quietly moved to Mo Li's side and summoned her Martial Soul to heal the injuries on his hand. The backlash from the earlier clash had left a few bloody marks on his palm, but Mo Li himself didn't seem to care. They were only minor wounds.

Seeing the gorgeous begonia blossom in Ye Lingling's palm, Mo Li was delighted. That Martial Soul was none other than the Nine Heart Begonia!

Then he sighed inwardly. Stepping in really had been worth it.

A moment later, Ye Lingling recalled her Martial Soul and turned to face the squad. The men had no idea what the two of them were up to. They seemed wary of Mo Li's thunderous attack, and for a while, not one of them dared to approach.

Ye Lingling's cool voice rang out. "This has nothing to do with him."

"You just want to see what I look like, don't you? Fine. I'll let you see."

The men's expressions grew uncertain, as if they were weighing their options. At the same time, Ye Lingling quietly signaled to Mo Li with her left hand, urging him to leave at once, while raising her right hand toward the veil on her face.

Just then, Mo Li suddenly reached out, grabbed her wrist, and pulled Ye Lingling behind him.

Ye Lingling's brow furrowed. She turned to look at Mo Li, puzzled and confused, as if reproaching him for not taking advantage of her stalling to leave.

But Mo Li didn't look at her. He swept his gaze over the men and smiled faintly. "How about this? I'll give you another chance. Apologize and leave now, and I might let you off the hook."

The scarred man wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, then let out an angry laugh, his eyes hard and cruel.

"Are you two done playing around?"

"Damn it! None of you are getting away. Get them!"

At that, Mo Li smiled and sighed. "See? Losing your temper again."

Sensing the violent aura behind him, Mo Li turned slightly and said teasingly, "If you're not planning to leave, then go tell Sister Erlong yourselves."

Before he had even finished speaking, a slender figure in a black dress appeared beside Mo Li like a ghost. The Soul Master squad—and even Ye Lingling, standing right beside him—had no idea how Liu Erlong had appeared.

Liu Erlong's face was as cold as frost. She merely released the pressure of her Soul Power, and all five men turned deathly pale, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
