Background / History

The Dragon God was a being stated to be stronger than the five Great God Kings. Dragon Valley served as his lair and the ancestral home of the dragon race; its protections prevented humans from using Martial Souls and Soul Power until he personally removed the restriction for Kong Bo. 61 63

Before his death, he planned the Dragon Clan's Star God Ceremony to elevate Douluo Planet into a God Star, intending to establish a foundation for the Dragon Clan Crown Prince and pursue his wife's reincarnation. The ceremony led to catastrophe, including the Crown Prince's death and the Dragon God's descent into madness. 64

He later reconsidered the alleged betrayal of the Time Dragon King and Space Dragon King, concluding that they lacked a motive to betray him and had likely tried to stop the ceremony out of loyalty. He believes a more powerful will had eroded his mind while he was alive, influencing his disastrous decisions; after his death, his soul gradually regained clarity. 64

When Kong Bo entered his Dragon Nest, the Dragon God examined the Three Moons Martial Soul and recognized its affinities for life, death, space, time, frost, and fire. He judged that, if properly cultivated, Kong Bo could reach God King level or beyond. 61

He offered Kong Bo any treasure in the nest and instruction in mastering it, in exchange for help resurrecting him once Kong Bo became a god. Kong Bo instead proposed reviving the fallen Dragon Kings through Red Moon's life-force manipulation; the Dragon God accepted and began by testing the method on the Mountain Dragon King. 61 62

Personality

The Dragon God is proud of both his creations and his authority over the dragon race. Kong Bo's dismissive refusal of the Ascending Dragon Pillar and the Dragon God's remaining essence angered him deeply, though he ultimately respected Kong Bo's audacity and ambition. 62

Despite his arrogance, he is remorseful over the losses caused by the Star God Ceremony and cares deeply for the Dragon Kings. He supports their resurrection even when it means allowing them to follow Kong Bo as repayment for their new lives. 62 64

His relationship with Kong Bo develops into an exasperated teacher-student dynamic: he provides history, technical guidance, and access to Dragon Valley's resources, while repeatedly being frustrated by Kong Bo's refusals and unconventional goals. 63 73 76
