Mobile Task Force 'MTF'

Seeing that everyone was ready, Sui Bian raised his left hand to lightly press his Bluetooth earpiece and spoke calmly to Red Queen:

"Lift the lockdown. Let that old geezer Marcus come out."

"Understood."

As Red Queen's voice faded, the sealed blast doors spent a few seconds disengaging before slowly sliding open.

As the gates parted, everyone tightened their grip on their firearms; after all, according to the intelligence Sui Bian had released, Marcus was the most difficult B.O.W. to deal with.

Soon, a handsome man with long hair, dressed in a flamboyant white gown, slowly walked out of the main control room. He spread his arms and said with a smile:

"Welcome, everyone. Hehe, the entire world shall fall into the depths of my wrath—"

Suddenly!

A "Pong!" gunshot interrupted the man's soliloquy.

The man's face... and even his entire head, were blasted into a gory mess. Yet, even so, the head began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The man eventually restored his original appearance, his expression filled with disbelief and extreme rage.

This flamboyant man was none other than James Marcus.

The person who had just fired the shot was Sui Bian, standing behind the others.

"Pong! Pong!"

Sui Bian held a Beretta M92F level in his right hand and fired a few more shots at James in quick succession.

"Rat-tat-tat!"

Hunk and the rest of Alpha Team opened fire almost in sync with Sui Bian, their index fingers pulling triggers to unleash a hail of various projectiles at Marcus.

"Boys! Open fire!"

"Yes, sir!"

Immediately following were STARS-B Team and the SWAT members.

"Squish! Splat!" In an instant, Marcus was riddled with holes, dark black blood splattering everywhere.

Under the intense barrage, Marcus's entire body shook uncontrollably, his flamboyant clothes shredded to ribbons.

In the game, Marcus would have transformed into a viscous, disgusting leech-man, but now, he didn't even have the chance to change his form.

At this moment, Hunk stopped firing, reached out his left hand to unhook a thermite grenade from his right hip, pulled the pin, released the safety, and tossed it at Marcus.

Six other Alpha members also ceased fire and threw their thermite grenades at Marcus one after another.

Then...

"Whoosh! Hiss-!" Seven thermite grenades detonated in sequence around Marcus.

When thermite grenades detonate, they do not cause a violent explosion; instead, they spray sparks like a Chinese firework.

Once these sparks landed on the still-being-attacked Marcus, they began to burn rapidly, the flames growing more intense with no sign of stopping.

"ROAR!!! AHH!!!" Burned by temperatures nearing three thousand degrees, Marcus couldn't help but let out a blood-curdling scream.

The scream was laced with a feminine tone; it seemed the system's claim of him being a hermaphrodite was no exaggeration.

In the end, before he could even manage to shift his form, Marcus was reduced to a charred corpse.

"Cough... cough-cough!"

The thick smoke emitted by the burning thermite grenades made many STARS-B Team and SWAT members cough uncontrollably, but this had no effect on the Alpha members wearing their "octopus head" masks.

Sui Bian, who already possessed the physical constitution of a super-soldier, was similarly unaffected. At the same time, the system prompted him in his mind:

Hearing the system's report, Sui Bian was certain that Marcus was thoroughly dead.

He immediately contacted Red Queen through his earpiece: "Have the RPD protect our technical personnel as they enter the mountain area to collect the remains and recover all data from both underground facilities."

"Understood, sir." Red Queen replied in her characteristically cold tone.

Ending the communication with Red Queen, Sui Bian returned his Samurai Edge to the holster at his waist and then withdrew from the underground facility under the escort of an Alpha squad.

Although all zombies and B.O.W.s in the facility had been cleared under Red Queen's guidance, Hunk still led the remaining combat personnel to conduct a final sweep to ensure a "green" working environment for the technicians.

Next.

The two hundred police officers blockading the mountain area began to shrink the perimeter to ensure no stray zombies or zombie dogs remained in the mountains.

Wearing masks, respirators, gloves, and protective suits, the Hive technicians drove toward the Spencer Mansion and the Training Facility under the protection of thirty police officers.

The technicians began collecting the corpses of all B.O.W.s and T-Virus byproducts (zombies), as well as the charred remains of Marcus, while recovering paper files and local hard drives from both facilities.

As the combat personnel engaged with zombies, zombie dogs, and various B.O.W.s, Red Queen used the surveillance systems of both facilities to record all the live combat data.

In the game, Wesker had wanted to use the combat data between STARS and the B.O.W.s to hand over to Umbrella's rival company, thereby increasing his own value.

Live combat data could effectively reveal the strengths and weaknesses of B.O.W.s, allowing researchers to perform targeted upgrades; it was considered an extremely valuable commodity.

However, Sui Bian had no intention of selling them; he planned to have the researchers at the Hive utilize the combat data from this operation to refine the Tyrant T-103 model.

In this way, whenever they encountered anomalous phenomena with unknown properties in the future, they could deploy superior Tyrants as vanguards to minimize human casualties as much as possible.

The cleanup work would take at least three days, so Sui Bian returned to Raccoon City first, preparing to discuss the future of STARS with Irons.

In the game, all members of STARS except for Wesker, Chris, Jill, Rebecca, and Barry met their ends, but that did not mean the other members of STARS were weaklings.

According to their profiles, STARS were hand-picked elites, and through Sui Bian's close-range observation, the skills and marksmanship of the Bravo Team members were far superior to those of SWAT.

Yet, there was still a significant gap compared to Alpha.

Even so, STARS remained a rare and valuable elite force, not to mention the presence of those two "protagonists," Chris and Jill.

According to his plan, once he had completely seized control of Umbrella, he intended to restructure the UBCS, discarding the dross and selecting the essential.

He prepared to select members from the UBCS who were loyal to the company and possessed rich combat experience and capability, then absorb the entirety of STARS to form a new unit.

The nature of this unit would be the same as the MTF, and Sui Bian also intended to establish multiple MTF squads to deal with anomalous phenomena across the globe.
