Background / History

Gu Yuena bears injuries from the ancient conflict surrounding the Dragon God, including a scar across her chest that still causes dark-red divine-power fluctuations. As the Silver Dragon King, she inherited the Dragon God's wisdom; her bloodline naturally suppresses even the Nine Great Dragon Kings beneath the Dragon God and Golden Dragon King. 1

She recounts that the Dragon God divided into the Golden Dragon King and Silver Dragon King, after which the Golden Dragon King was sealed in the God Realm while she escaped through spatial turbulence. She believes the five God Kings later barred soul beasts from ascending to godhood, leaving the soul beast race cut off from the God Realm. 3

After sensing a dragon bloodline aura stronger than her own at the Star Dou Great Forest's perimeter, Gu Yuena ordered Di Tian to investigate. When he returned with the infant Lin Shuo, she named him the forest's Young Master and chose to raise him personally, hoping he could eventually lead the dragon race back to the God Realm. 1

For twelve years, she raised Lin Shuo in an independent space beneath the Lake of Life. His martial soul awakening confirmed her suspicion that he carried the Seven-Colored Dragon King's bloodline and was the Dragon God's legitimate heir. Gu Yuena is outwardly aloof, restrained, and composed. In front of the fierce beasts, she remains the distant Silver Dragon King; with Lin Shuo, however, she displays warmth, patience, and a distinctly nurturing tenderness. 5

She carries profound grief for the fall of the Dragon Race and its lost glory. The appearance of the Water Dragon King and Fire Dragon King's lingering souls leaves her silently sorrowful, while Lin Shuo recognizes and comforts her grief. 2 29
