Background / History

Ning Fengzhi led the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and acted as the teacher of Heaven Dou Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. When Spirit Hall personnel appeared to be abducting the prince, he intervened with Sword Douluo, intending to rescue his disciple. Qian Renxue then exposed herself as Spirit Hall’s Holy Maiden and revealed that “Xue Qinghe” had been her disguise for more than a decade, leaving Ning furious at what he believed to be a scheme against the Heaven Dou Empire. 109

He nevertheless continued pursuing Qian Renxue’s party after the exposure, only for their conflict to devolve into the Heaven Dou chamber-pot incident. Ning was left shocked and disgusted when Qian Renxue hurled the stolen imperial chamber pot at him and Sword Douluo sliced it open. 109 110

Ning arrived at Maple Dye Pavilion with Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo to confront Bibi Dong. Instead, he found sixteen Spirit Hall Title Douluo dining within the restaurant and was forced into a cautious corner seat. After tasting the Jade Soul Immortal Moon Dew, he discarded his usual restraint and drank the entire basin. 117 118 120

Lin Feng subsequently evolved Ning’s Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda into the Eight Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda. The achievement fulfilled the sect’s long-held ambition, and Ning knelt in gratitude before Lin Feng. 121

His relief collapsed when Lin Feng raised Ning Rongrong’s prior insults toward Maple Dye Pavilion. Fearing retaliation against the sect, Ning turned on his daughter, later bringing her to kneel and apologize before Lin Feng. 122 123 133 139
