Background / History

Before his current life, Tang San was an orphan and outer disciple of the Tang Sect. Although talented in its secret arts, he was barred from its core manuals; he infiltrated the sect's forbidden grounds and stole the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record. Lin Feng later exposes this history, leading others—including Tang Xiao—to question whether Tang San is truly Tang Hao and Ah Yin's son. 451 452

When Xiao Wu is exposed as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, Tang San recoils from her in terror. He later recognizes that his fear and alienation devastated her, and becomes desperate to find her again. 132 135 146

Tang San reunites with his father, Tang Hao, after six years apart at Shrek Academy. Learning that Tang Hao was once the Clear Sky Douluo but was crippled and stripped of his soul rings by Spirit Hall fuels Tang San's hatred toward Spirit Hall. 378 379 380

Tang Hao takes him to Clear Sky Sect, where Tang San learns that Ah Yin was a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor who sacrificed herself for Tang Hao and him. Tang Hao also reveals the role his actions played in Clear Sky Sect's decline and exile. 388 389

Personality

Tang San is intensely protective of those he considers family. He seeks Xiao Wu after abandoning her during her exposure, defends Tang Hao against Clear Sky Sect members' hostility, and insists on accompanying the delegation to Spirit City to reclaim Ah Yin. 135 146 389 396

His emotions frequently override his judgment. Humiliation, perceived threats to Ah Yin, and insults toward the Tang Sect repeatedly drive him into rage, including confronting Lin Feng, threatening others with Godly Zhuge Crossbows, and escalating a hidden-weapon contest into a soul-skill attack. 444 448 457

After Angel Rakshasa Dong grants him authority over the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's labor force, Tang San develops a strong attachment to status and control. He enjoys forcing former captors to bow to him and rejects Tang Xiao's request to return to Clear Sky Sect. 518 519 520 521
