Lin Hao united Tang San’s Tang Sect with the Misty Cloud Sect, won the Genius Exchange Tournament, and survived an assassination attempt. He suspected Qian Renxue was posing as Xue Qinghe and went to the Eastern Palace to test him.

• Titan challenged Lin Hao, but Tang San demanded that Titan apologize for his treatment of Lin Hao.
• Lin Hao invited Tang San to merge the Tang Sect into the Misty Cloud Sect, and Tang San accepted Lin Hao as sect master.
• Lin Hao and Shui Bing'er fused their Martial Souls, created the Realm Ice Phoenix, and developed a spatially severing ice technique.
• Xue Qinghe invited Lin Hao and Ye Lingling to the Eastern Palace gathering, where Xiao Wu and Tang San fought before Lin Hao took the arena.

Lin Hao concealed his strength while guiding Tang San and leading Heaven Dou Royal Academy through the tournament, then defeated Spirit Hall Academy in the final. After claiming the championship and three Spirit Bones, he faced Bibi Dong’s attempt to have him seized, with his allies rallying around him.

• Lin Hao sparred with Xue Qinghe and staged his injuries, then bathed with him and discovered that the Angel Spirit Bone had transformed Qian Renxue’s body into a man’s.
• Lin Hao rescued Tang San from Shi Nian’s illusion, killed Shi Nian, and gave Tang San the gemstone soul bone before clashing with Yu Xiaogang over Tang San’s training.
• Tang San gained the Blue Silver Domain and a new spirit skill, then helped Shrek Academy advance through the tournament while Lin Hao deterred Huo Wu from challenging him again.
• Spirit Hall ambushed the tournament convoy, but Lin Hao and his allies defeated the attackers and captured their leaders, and Lin Hao forced Golden Crocodile Douluo to pay a ransom of Gold Soul Coins and three Spirit Bones.
• Heaven Dou Royal Academy defeated Star Luo Royal Academy and faced Spirit Hall Academy in the final, where Lin Hao returned and used Demon Suppression Chains to defeat Hu Liena and Xie Yue.
• Bibi Dong conceded the final, and Heaven Dou Royal Academy won the tournament, and Lin Hao received three Spirit Bones but refused Bibi Dong’s recruitment offer unless she became his chief concubine.
• Bibi Dong ordered Yue Guan and Gui Mei to seize Lin Hao, but Chen Xin and Lin Hao’s other allies stood between him and Spirit Hall’s forces.

Lin Hao built alliances with the Snake-Person Tribe and strengthened the Misty Cloud Sect before leading it into war with the Jia Ma Empire. After the imperial rulers fell, he began reshaping the empire and identified Wu Ying as the source of Yun Shan’s soul cultivation method.

• Lin Hao destroyed Pope Palace with Star Plucking and escaped Bibi Dong’s forces, then rescued Yun Yun from the Amethyst Winged Lion King’s territory and helped her recover.
• Lin Hao defeated the Amethyst Winged Lion King and recruited it as the Misty Cloud Sect’s guardian, then obtained Hai Bodong’s map fragments and brought Qing Lin into the sect.
• Lin Hao and Yun Yun explored the magma cavern, where Lin Hao collected fire lotus roots and refined them to reach Dou Emperor, and he then negotiated an agreement with Queen Medusa over her evolution and the Heavenly Flames.
• Queen Medusa emerged from the flames as a Seven-Colored Heaven-Swallowing Python, and Lin Hao took the awakened serpent spirit with him after defending his right to do so.
• Lin Hao cured Nalan Jie, advanced his soul cultivation, and then attacked the Imperial Guard Legion, declaring his intent to rebel against the Jia Ma Empire.
• Yun Yun and the Misty Cloud Sect confronted Jia Xingtian’s forces, joined by Gu He, Nalan Jie, Yun Shan, Elder Hai, and the Mittel Family, as fighting spread across the battlefield.
• Lin Hao killed the Jia Ma Emperor, while Yun Shan killed Jia Xingtian and declared the imperial rulers dead, and Lin Hao then offered the defeated forces protection if they surrendered.
• Lin Hao secured Mu Chen’s allegiance and proposed limiting the emperor’s power through a Grand Secretariat, then recognized Wu Ying as the Soul Hall protector who had given Yun Shan his cultivation method.

Lin Hao battled Spirit Hall in the Douluo Continent, helped unite the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan as the Misty Cloud Sect, and led their forces through a major victory in Heaven Dou City. With Spirit Hall searching for them, the sect sailed for Purple Pearl Island, where pirates awaited.

• Lin Hao returned to Spirit City, escaped Ghost Leopard Douluo with Queen Medusa's help, and killed Salas when he attacked the Ye Clan's residence.
• Lin Hao brought his companions to Slaughter City, made a supply trade with the King of Slaughter, and led them through Hell Road after a year of fighting in the arena.
• Tang San severed ties with Tang Hao and cut off his own hand, then regrew it with the healing energy in his leg bone.
• Spirit Hall attacked the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, but Lin Hao and his allies defeated Spirit Kite Douluo and drove back the attackers.
• Ning Rongrong proposed an alliance against Spirit Hall, and Lin Hao persuaded Ning Fengzhi and Yu Luomian to unite their sects as the Misty Cloud Sect.
• Spirit Hall's forces attacked the Misty Cloud Sect in Heaven Dou City, where Queen Medusa defeated Golden Crocodile Douluo and swallowed the Four Sons of the Royal Banner after they killed civilians.
• Lin Hao's allies defeated Spirit Hall's forces and forced them to retreat, while Bibi Dong arrived too late to find the Misty Cloud Sect's residence empty.
• Lin Hao and the Misty Cloud Sect sailed from Heaven Dou City in a fleet bound for Purple Pearl Island, where the pirates prepared to meet them.
