Background and History

Tang Hao was one of the Clear Sky Sect's celebrated Clear Sky Twin Stars alongside his elder brother, Tang Xiao. He and Tang Xiao were dispatched to travel the continent for ten years, and both developed into formidable Soul Douluo. 180 195

During their travels, the brothers clashed with the Body Sect's Long Aotian and Vina. Tang Hao was injured in the conflict and forced to retreat with Tang Xiao after Long Aotian's Martial Soul Avatar overwhelmed them. 195 196

While hiding from pursuers, Tang Hao and Tang Xiao were saved by Ah Yin, a transformed Blue Silver Grass. Both brothers became interested in her, confidently assuming that their status, strength, and Clear Sky Sect heritage made them worthy of her affection. 198 Tang Hao later learned that Ah Yin admired Huo Yuhao, whom he considered an enemy because of Huo Yuhao's ties to Spirit Hall and the Body Sect. 199

Conflict with Huo Yuhao

Tang Hao attacked Huo Yuhao outside the Huo family residence after finding him with Ah Yin. His full-force Clear Sky Hammer strike was repelled by Huo Yuhao's bare fist, leaving Tang Hao's hand split and bleeding. 203 204

He refused Huo Yuhao's accusation that he sought Ah Yin's healing ability and future hundred-thousand-year spirit ring, insisting that his feelings for her were sincere. 204 During the fight, Tang Hao activated the Divine Slaughter's Domain and attempted to continue fighting with the Clear Sky Hammer, but Huo Yuhao caught his attacks, used Tang Hao's own strike against him, and knocked out several of his teeth with a slap. 204

When Tang Xiao joined the battle, Tang Hao attempted to use Ring Detonation. Huo Yuhao interrupted the technique with Time Cage, reverting both Tang brothers into six-year-old children before delivering them to the Clear Sky Sect as a warning. 205

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao subsequently disclosed Ah Yin's identity as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor to the Clear Sky Sect. Their report contributed to the sects' plan to besiege Martial Soul City and seize Ah Yin. 210 213

Downfall of the Clear Sky Sect

During the siege of Martial Soul City, Tang Hao witnessed Huo Yuhao execute Tang Xiao and Tang Yue. Huo Yuhao then severed Tang Hao's right arm as punishment and a warning to the remaining Clear Sky Sect disciples. 220 222

Despite this injury, Tang Hao represented the Clear Sky Sect in the Sect Re-election's melee Spirit Fight. Surrounded by Yu Yuanzhen and Elder Qin—both Title Douluo—he detonated spirit rings through the Great Sumeru Hammer, temporarily reaching Title Douluo-level power. He was ultimately eliminated, and the Clear Sky Sect lost its standing in the competition. 241 242

His Ring Detonation injuries, severed arm, and the deaths of Tang Yue and Tang Xiao destabilized the sect. Tang Lie challenged his leadership, arguing that Tang Hao's lineage had brought disaster upon the Clear Sky Sect. Tang Hao eventually abdicated and was publicly expelled from the sect. 244 246 247

Exile and Family

After his expulsion, Tang Hao went to Heaven Dou City, where Tang Yuehua supported him while establishing Moonlight Pavilion. Rumors surrounding their closeness and Tang Hao's past caused him to flee the city and eventually settle in Holy Soul Village as a one-armed blacksmith. 248 250 252 353

Tang Yuehua later located him in Holy Soul Village. Their reunion led to Tang Yuehua becoming pregnant, though Tang Hao reacted with fear, anger, and self-loathing after awakening beside her. 356 361 Tang Yuehua gave birth to their son, Tang San, but Tang Hao remained emotionally distant from both mother and child. 366

After three years of self-imposed isolation, Tang Hao took Tang San away from Heaven Dou City while Tang Yuehua was unconscious. He believed that Tang San needed hardship to become strong enough to face his origins, and brought him back to Holy Soul Village to train as a blacksmith. 367 370

Following the deaths of his father and Tang Xiao, the destruction of his sect's reputation, and the loss of his arm, he became withdrawn and guilt-ridden.
