Tang San possesses the ultimate arts and hidden-weapon blueprints of the Tang Sect from his previous life. He initially takes great pride in the Mysterious Heaven Skill, his mechanical weapons, and the belief that sufficiently refined hidden weapons could let him challenge opponents above his level—even gods. 12 21 63

When the Sky Curtain descends over Douluo Continent, Tang San immediately investigates it with his Purple Demon Eye. The technique causes him eye pain but cannot reveal the screen's nature or detect any spirit-power fluctuation from it. He seeks Yu Xiaogang's opinion, initially maintaining respect for his teacher even while privately recognizing flaws in the Grandmaster's explanations. 1 4

The successive deaths and defeats of Douluo explorers force Tang San to reassess his own knowledge. A Hengyue Sect disciple's remotely controlled wooden sword moves too quickly for his Purple Demon Eye to follow clearly, while a grey-robed cultivator casually blocks Tang San's Silent Sleeve Arrow.
