Seeing that the sandstorm had lost its effect after Uchiha Matsuri activated his Sharingan, Rasa of the Sand Waterfall canceled the technique.
Having maintained the technique for so long, Rasa's chakra reserves had dwindled to a mere thirty percent. If he didn't finish off Uchiha Matsuri soon, he would face the imminent danger of being killed the moment his chakra hit zero.
Once the sandstorm dissipated, Uchiha Matsuri and Rasa resumed their battle. Because of the Sharingan, Uchiha Matsuri could see Rasa's hand seals and movements with perfect clarity, which weakened Rasa's advantage to a certain extent.
Yet, even with Rasa's advantage diminished, Uchiha Matsuri remained in an absolutely inferior position. Gradually, as the chakra released by the Yin Seal neared its end, Uchiha Matsuri's speed slowed, and he inevitably fell onto the back foot.
"It seems I overestimated him. Activating the Sharingan when his chakra is nearly exhausted is nothing more than a desperate, final struggle." Rasa let out a soft scoff, his eyes filled with disdain.
Seeing Uchiha Matsuri make a mistake, Rasa immediately formed hand seals.
"Magnet Release: Gold Sand Raging Waves!"
The gold sand on the ground was instantly churned up, rolling toward Uchiha Matsuri. After Rasa performed the Clone Technique, his clone held a shuriken and charged toward Uchiha Matsuri alongside the gold sand.
Uchiha Matsuri unleashed an Earth Release technique, struggling to block the incoming gold sand and the "Rasa." However, he did not expect that the real Rasa had already used the Clone Technique; while Uchiha Matsuri's attention was entirely focused on the incoming sand and the clone, the real Rasa had quietly circled behind him.
"The final blow."
The real Rasa, holding a shuriken, suddenly appeared behind Uchiha Matsuri.
By the time Uchiha Matsuri realized he had been deceived, Rasa's shuriken was already on the verge of piercing his neck.
Am I really going to die here?
Uchiha Matsuri felt nothing but resentment.
Having already died once, Uchiha Matsuri had been in the world of the Hokage for ten years. He had once boasted at the Ninja Academy that he would swear to sit on the seat of the Hokage, yet he never imagined that only a year after graduating, he would die at the hands of someone his own age.
At the very moment Rasa's shuriken was about to pierce his neck, a flash of yellow light suddenly appeared in Uchiha Matsuri's field of vision. The yellow light appeared and vanished so abruptly that even Uchiha Matsuri, who had already activated his single-tomoe Sharingan, could not see what it actually was.
However, two seconds after the yellow light vanished, Uchiha Matsuri was astonished to find that Rasa, who had been right beside him, was now lying ten meters away, clutching his chest.
Having roughly read the original Hokage series in his previous life, Uchiha Matsuri reacted immediately.
Could it be... could it be...
"Matsuri, are you alright?" Minato Namikaze looked at the battered Uchiha Matsuri with concern.
"I'm fine. Are you the only one who came?" Uchiha Matsuri asked, slightly agitated.
"Jiraiya and E are coming too, but because I learned the 'Flying Thunder God Technique,' I arrived first," Minato Namikaze said.
"Right, hurry and go assist Kushina Uzumaki and Shin! They've been holding out for two hours and are almost out of chakra," Uchiha Matsuri coughed twice and said softly to Minato Namikaze.
Minato Namikaze glanced at the fallen Rasa of the Sand Waterfall, then threw a special kunai toward Kushina Uzumaki's direction. The next second, Minato Namikaze vanished from before Uchiha Matsuri's eyes and suddenly appeared beside Kushina Uzumaki.
"Minato!" Kushina Uzumaki nearly shouted in surprise.
After more than two hours of fighting, even Kushina Uzumaki, with her vast chakra reserves, had seen her levels drop to their lowest point. If reinforcements hadn't arrived, she would have been forced to give up the fight.
"Kushina, leave this to me."
Minato Namikaze looked at Kushina Uzumaki tenderly before throwing himself into the battle against the Sunagakure Ninjas.
In truth, back at the Ninja Academy, Minato Namikaze had already fallen for the bright and lively Kushina Uzumaki and had tried to approach her several times. The latter, however, seemed uninterested in him, her favorability toward him even lower than it was for the boys who frequently bullied her. At the same time, to Minato Namikaze's disappointment, Kushina Uzumaki had described him as a "weird person" and "like a little girl" in several conversations with others.
What Minato Namikaze didn't know was that on the very first day of the Ninja Academy, Kushina Uzumaki had become interested in Uchiha Matsuri, who sat by the window in the back row. Because of this, the usually boisterous Kushina Uzumaki would act as docile as a kitten when sitting next to Uchiha Matsuri.
Perhaps due to the natural attraction between "Type A" and "Type B" personalities, the boisterous, cheerful, and active Kushina Uzumaki felt a strong affinity for the reticent Uchiha Matsuri. As one of the parties involved, Uchiha Matsuri was no fool; he naturally saw the special feelings Kushina Uzumaki held for him.
However, as someone who had transmigrated from another world, Uchiha Matsuri did not want to ruin the relationship between the model couple, "Minato & Kushina." Yet, even Uchiha Matsuri had to admit that from the day he transmigrated, the world and the plot of the Hokage had been completely disrupted.
From defeating Minato Namikaze in the graduation exam to causing chaos in Kirigakure with Orochimaru, Uchiha Matsuri had gradually changed the plot of the Hokage as a disruptor. These changes had occurred in just one year; if Uchiha Matsuri were given another thirty years, it was likely that even Uchiha Madara might not be successfully resurrected.
Beside Uchiha Matsuri.
After being kicked away by Minato Namikaze, Rasa of the Sand Waterfall lay on the ground, clutching his chest and gasping for air.
"I didn't expect Konoha to have such a bizarre ninja," Rasa said, looking up in frustration. After his sneak attack failed, his mood plummeted to rock bottom.
He had been on the verge of successfully killing Uchiha Matsuri, only for an unexpected "third party" to intervene. To make matters worse, this person's speed was abnormally fast, appearing and disappearing suddenly without him sensing a thing. Even Rasa, who excelled at speed, could not explain such a bizarre situation.
Ten meters away, seeing Rasa lying on the ground and panting incessantly, Uchiha Matsuri slowly moved his feet and walked toward him.
"Shall we continue?" Uchiha Matsuri suddenly spoke. In reality, given his current chakra levels, let alone killing Rasa, he didn't even have enough left to perform a low-power ninjutsu.
"I'm done fighting." Rasa's chakra reserves were not large to begin with, and he had used many Magnet Release techniques while battling Uchiha Matsuri. Now, his remaining chakra was essentially on par with Uchiha Matsuri's.
