Lay Down the Butcher's Knife, Pick Up a Revolver?

Uchiha Sora froze. What the heck?

Was the system trying to get more ninjas to believe in science?

Given that damn system's usual ways, its quests never came out of nowhere. Maybe this one was laying the groundwork for a major story quest later.

Could it be trying to get him a few more underlings?

Or was it planning to kick off the first Industrial Revolution in the Ninja World?

He thought about it. Neither seemed very likely, but the system's rewards were pretty good.

Maxed-out affection? Haku was a given. Like Hinata, he could be brought into the harem later.

As for the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, they might not count as very strong in the later stages, but back in the early days of the ninja world, each one of them was on par with a Konoha teacher.

So with those seven protecting him, he could at least be sure he'd be relatively safe during the early days of the ninja world.

After thinking it over, Uchiha Sora decided to complete the quest. He glanced at the two of them and put away the Gatling Gun in his hands.

In its place, he produced two small revolvers.

They were a pair of little revolvers Uchiha Sora had made using rewards from his daily quests and items redeemed from the shop.

Naturally, they weren't nearly as powerful in actual combat as the Gatling Gun, but they far outclassed the ninjas' cold weapons.

He'd originally planned to give them to Sasuke and the others to practice with, but later decided that wasn't a good idea.

The revolvers weren't very powerful, so giving them to Sasuke wouldn't make much difference.

After that, he'd switched to AK-47s instead.

Now, Uchiha Sora suddenly held out his hand and gestured to the two of them.

"Come on! Times have changed. Why don't you try this thing?"

Zabuza froze. Beside him, Haku looked at Uchiha Sora in confusion.

Clearly, they were both baffled by Uchiha Sora's sudden change of attitude.

Even Jiraiya and the others behind them immediately looked alarmed.

"Hey, kid! What are you doing? You're handing your weapons over to them?"

Kakashi looked exasperated. He couldn't help wondering if Uchiha Sora had lost his mind.

Even Sasuke looked confused.

"Bro! You can't give those things to other people! You're asking for trouble!"

Uchiha Sora shook his head.

"It's fine. They're just a couple of revolvers. Besides, did you forget? They need my Sharingan to fire."

"Even if an ordinary person got one, they'd probably only be able to fire six shots!"

That was right. The reason Uchiha Sora dared to hand over the weapons was that nobody else could get their hands on the bullets!

No matter how awesome you were, even if I gave you a Gatling Gun, what could you do without bullets?

Could he really expect people whose education was below that of elementary school students to make bullets by hand?

"You... what are you thinking? Are there traps in those weapons? I'm not going to trust you!"

Zabuza struggled to his feet, his face full of wariness.

He didn't believe for a second that Uchiha Sora would be this kind.

Haku took a few steps back, just as wary.

At this point, in Haku's eyes, Uchiha Sora was a total lecher!

"Just try them! It's not like you'll lose an arm!"

As he spoke, Uchiha Sora tossed the two revolvers over.

Zabuza scrambled several meters backward in fright.

But Haku didn't move. After hesitating for a moment, he actually bent down and picked one up.

"Are you stupid? It could be a trap!"

Zabuza was frantic and wanted to stop him.

But Haku shook his head.

"It's fine! If he really wanted to kill us, he wouldn't need to do it this way!"

Zabuza froze at that. Thinking it over, it did seem to make sense.

That was right!

With Uchiha Sora's current strength, killing them would be a piece of cake.

Why would he need to use a trick like this?

With that in mind, Zabuza also mustered his courage and stepped forward to pick one up.

It felt heavy in his hand, since it was made entirely of metal. Its design was strange, and he couldn't figure out how to use it right away.

"Pull the trigger on top—that black hook. Don't worry, I've already infused it with energy. You'll be able to use it for a little while!"

Uchiha Sora stood to the side, stroking his chin as he gave instructions. He was completely nonchalant, not at all worried that they might attack him.

Zabuza's eyes flickered. He really wanted to aim at Uchiha Sora and fire a couple of shots.

But he didn't dare.

First, the weapon belonged to someone else. It was probably linked to chakra.

If he retaliated, he might get taken out on the spot.

Second, he simply didn't have the nerve. Uchiha Sora wouldn't dare do this unless he had some kind of plan.

At the very least, he wouldn't be digging his own grave.

After thinking it over for a while, Zabuza raised the gun and aimed it at the nearby woods.

He fired instantly!

The moment he pulled the trigger, there was a bang, and a bright yellow bullet burst from the muzzle.

Its terrifying speed was far beyond what the naked eye could follow.

In the blink of an eye, a small tree in front of them was severed at the trunk!

It all happened too fast. Black smoke curled from the muzzle, and the gunshot still echoed in their ears.

Zabuza's hand trembled. The instant he fired, it had felt as if thunder had exploded in his palm.

For a moment, he'd nearly let go.

Luckily, he'd kept his grip!

Seeing the damage it had caused, he couldn't help but look shaken.

"That's insane... what the hell is this? Such a tiny piece of metal can cause that much damage, and it didn't even use any chakra!"

At that moment, Haku fired a shot too.

It punched straight through a rock!

In an instant, both of them were stunned.

As natives of the Ninja World, they really were like natives in Sora's eyes.

They were truly awestruck by technology!

Uchiha Sora stepped forward with a smile.

"So, what do you think? Pretty good weapon, right? Compared with your big swords, which is stronger?"

Zabuza hesitated for a moment.

"What's this weapon called?"

"A gun! More precisely, it's a type of gun called a revolver. It's not the most powerful, but it's the smallest and easiest to handle."

Uchiha Sora smiled as he explained.

He knew those two had been deeply awed by technology.

Even if they got their weapons back now, they probably wouldn't want them anymore.

It was hard to go from luxury back to simplicity!

Sure enough, a moment later, Zabuza's eyes began to shine.

"And this is just the least powerful one! What would the strongest one be like?"

"Could it be the kind rumored to take down a Tailed Beast with a single shot?"

At that moment, Zabuza and Haku's young hearts were deeply awed by technology.

Uchiha Sora smiled.

"Ding! Host, your side quest is complete. You've received an affection boost!"
