Background / History

Sasuke is one of the two surviving Uchiha in Konoha alongside his cousin, Uchiha Sora. Before Sora's rise, he views his older relative as talented in kindness but lacking the Sharingan and conventional ninja aptitude. Even so, Sasuke refuses to abandon him because Sora gave him the warmth of family. 1 3

Sora deliberately guides Sasuke away from the hostility and isolation associated with his original path. Sasuke becomes well-behaved, practices shuriken techniques, and places deep trust in Sora's warnings—particularly the instruction to join Naruto and Sakura during the Chunin Exams and avoid Rain Village ninja. 3

During the Chunin Exams, Sasuke relies on Sora's predictions and strategy. He leads Naruto and Sakura according to Sora's advice: seek an opposing team, obtain the needed scroll, then head directly for the tower rather than remaining in prolonged conflict. 12

Following Sora's battles against Orochimaru, Sasuke's admiration becomes more overt. He envies Sora's rapid Sharingan development but continues to train under Kakashi, learning Chidori in preparation for the later stages of the exams. 17 24
