A punch with a temperature of up to eight hundred degrees shattered half of Hidan's body in an instant.
Hidan's eyes widened in disbelief, then he let out a bloodcurdling scream.
"Ah!!!"
He curled up on the ground, struggling endlessly as blood poured from his wound, quickly staining the earth red.
"That's it...?"
Sasori of the Red Sands watched Hidan get badly injured by Uchiha Ye in just a few moves. Even his voice from inside Hiruko sounded a little dazed. "This weakling managed to cause so much bloodshed in the Village Hidden in Hot Water?"
He felt like he'd been tricked!
"According to the intelligence, he has an immortal body. If that's true, then perhaps he really is someone not to be underestimated!"
Hearing this, Uchiha Ye said, "Besides, if Hidan made the Village Hidden in Hot Water directly commission us to kill him, then he must have something going for him."
Sasori of the Red Sands agreed. "Then let's see what makes him so special!"

A spike appeared in his hand. He lunged forward, closing the distance to Uchiha Ye in a flash, and slashed at him.

Sasori commented as he watched.
Uchiha Ye thought, Of course. The guy would later be able to face a master like Asuma Sarutobi head-on. How could he not have a few tricks up his sleeve?
His body turned to lava again, letting him evade the spike. Then his eyes shifted, revealing two tomoe. He glared at Hidan. "Body Freeze Technique!"
Hidan's eyes flew open in shock. "Two-Tomoe Sharingan? You're that Konoha renegade, Uchiha Ye?!"
Unable to move, he became a lamb awaiting slaughter.
"I'm a little known, but there's no need to remember me."
Uchiha Ye stepped back, studying Hidan with great amusement. "But if you're hoping to get my blood and use it to perform your ritual, 'Jashin's Curse,' so you can badly wound me, I think you can forget it."
"I won't give you that chance. Your ability really is troublesome. I might even fall for it!"
Hidan's eyes widened in utter disbelief, and he shouted excitedly, "Who the hell are you? How do you know the core ability of the Jashin Cult?"
This was his ultimate weapon, the reason he could roam the shinobi world without fear, no matter what powerful foe he faced.
He had never told anyone about it, yet this man had casually revealed it.

Sasori of the Red Sands also looked at Uchiha Ye in surprise.

"Guess whether your immortal body can survive being submerged in lava at eight hundred degrees."
"If there's not even a scrap left of you, what good will it do that your body can't die?"
As he spoke, a drop of lava fell onto Hidan's chest, instantly dissolving a large patch of flesh.
"Ah!!!"
Hidan's eyes reddened with pain as he cried out, "It hurts so much, you bastard!"
But what terrified him even more was that the dissolved flesh had truly disappeared. It wasn't like an ordinary wound from a sharp weapon, which wouldn't have affected him at all.
He really could be melted until not a scrap remained.
