"Shenxian Realm? Are you sure?"
Underworld Prison, within the vast continent woven through with lightning.
Longdi's crystalline divine body was steering the Divine Gathering Platform as it whistled along, drawing power in from all directions.
His expression was grim. From time to time, he glanced at the blood-red expanse behind him, unease flickering in his eyes.
Deep within that boundless crimson, a colossal ape that towered into the heavens stood upright, its fur evolving all living things.
"If he takes one more step forward, he will immediately enter the Shenxian Realm!" Bai Zi answered without hesitation.
At those words, Longdi, who was controlling the Divine Gathering Platform, looked even darker and more unsightly. "If he advances into the Shenxian Realm, won't the heaven and earth spiritual energy in Underworld Prison become even harder for me to control?"
"With an opponent like him helping us deal with that old ape, shouldn't you be thankful?" Bai Zi asked.
"Thankful?" Longdi snorted coldly. "What makes you so sure he'll stand with us and help us deal with that old ape?"
Bai Zi fell silent for a moment before saying, "He is my master's child."
Pain flashed through Longdi's eyes atop the Divine Gathering Platform. His lips moved, but in the end, he said nothing.
"Was it you who killed my master?" Bai Zi suddenly asked.
"Are you afraid that once he reaches the Shenxian Realm, he'll learn that you killed my master and come after you?"
"Longdi, was it you or not?!"
Bai Zi cried out emotionally.
The resentment that had been crushing his heart for years had to be vented.
He had sensed Longdi's turmoil. He believed that only now, with Underworld Prison on the verge of catastrophic destruction, might Longdi reveal the truth and prepare for any unforeseen events to come.
