The arrival of the serfs greatly excited the town officials, as they were currently facing a manpower shortage.
Liszt was also prepared to travel to Coral City to hand over the five hundred serfs. Although the weather was still somewhat hot in late summer and early autumn, the sun was no longer so scorching, and wearing the Frac apron, a symbol of nobility, was still bearable.
Now, he no longer needs to ride a horse.
The castle had just purchased a brand-new four-wheeled carriage, and the servants had carefully decorated it, attaching a flag to the roof embroidered with a dark purple Tulip.
The Tulip Family has its own flag, a bright red Tulip. That was the Tulip variety from which the family conceived its first Tulip Bug, but unfortunately, that Tulip Bug only evolved to the Little Elf before dying of old age. The current Tulip Great Sprite was conceived from a magic potion Tulip.
Liszt had been granted a fiefdom and was no longer a formal member of the Tulip Family, so the red Tulip flag was no longer suitable for use.
He then chose the Black Tulip as his banner.
The flags of the Flower Caravan and Thorn Caravan that traveled between the two regions were all Black Tulip.
On Coral Island, this is probably familiar to everyone. Seeing the Black Tulip flag, one knows it belongs to the third son of the Earl's family, the Baron of Flower Town, who has been making Liszt recently.
The Black Tulip.
That's the name of this brand-new carriage.
The coachman was One-Eyed Button. There weren't many horses, so his workload was light. He took on the job of driving the carriage on the side, which also allowed him to go to Coral City and broaden his horizons.
"Sir, this is the healthiest Dragon Sunflower plant we selected as you instructed. We dug it up with the soil still on and put it in a flowerpot. You see, some of its fruits are green, and some are ripe and black. It's still blooming here. I'm sure the old lady will like it."
"Very good, water it and put it in the carriage," Liszt gestured.
The Black Nightshade Bug came from the Dragon Sunflower grown by Lady Penelope, and since it was only a small token of appreciation, Liszt got a new pot of Dragon Sunflower for the old lady.
Reciprocity is key.
I also wanted to show off my skills, since this old lady always looked down on me—just because I'm a little handsome!
"Sir, are you bringing Dousen with you?"
"Take Dousen around for a spin. He's my loyal bodyguard now, and the Earth Knight is no match for him," Liszt said proudly.
He was very satisfied with Dousen.
The Bloodline Fruit was not wasted; it could now release several Rock Spike Rock Spike, with a maximum of six at once.
Based on the opinions of Marcus, Gortai, and others, everyone agrees that Dousen is currently a mid-level monster! He might be relatively weak among mid-level monsters, especially compared to the Purple Sand Crocodile, who could easily defeat the Coral Island Knights; Dousen is merely a novice. But a mid-level monster is a mid-level monster.
It transcends the limitations of low-level magical beasts and can unleash two types of magic— Rock Spike and " Multiple Rock Spikes ".
Moreover, it still has room to grow; at most, it's only seven months old. Perhaps after growing for a while, it will grasp more magic.
With Dousen by his side, he can basically do whatever he wants on Coral Island.
Carter looked at the imposing Dousen and said with a hint of teasing, "It's good to take him with us, so he won't always be circling around the Earth Wife. Mr. Marcus said the Earth Wife is about to get pregnant, and they're not suitable to mate together anymore."
"Indeed, Dousen is still growing, and we can't let him go hungry," Liszt said seriously. "Also, as for the Earth Wife, from now on, she needs a good supply of nutrition... If we're sure she's not pregnant, then we should cut off the supply and wear down her ferocity."
After starving for so many days, I only get to eat occasionally, and after that, I get Dousen.
The Earth Wife's life was quite miserable, and its ferocity gradually diminished. When it saw Liszt and the others arrive, it no longer chose to roar, but was only filled with fear.
No matter how intelligent a monster is, it's still just one type of beast.
The method of slowly boiling a frog in water can completely make the Earth Wife fear Liszt and others. Even if it regains its strength in the future, it will not dare to resist Liszt and others—just like a lion in a circus, which is whipped by its keeper from a young age and dares not escape or resist, showing no beastly demeanor whatsoever.
Liszt was greatly inspired by the Earth Wife's quick concession.
He gradually developed a vague idea, which he planned to apply to Curly Blessing. It was time for this ever-growing Wind Peregrine Falcon to experience some hardship.
The clothes were on, and the carriage was ready.
Gortai also arrived with Isaiah, Blair, and Rom Barrel, along with several clerks, who were to accompany them to receive the serfs.
At the same time, Marcus arrived. "Sir, is it not necessary to have a knight squad accompany us?"
"No need, Professor Marcus, the work of the logging team is equally important."
A simple farewell.
The convoy set off.
Despite his robust physique Earth Knight, Liszt still found riding in a carriage much more comfortable than riding a horse. With all four windows open, the wind blew and the carriage swayed and rocked, almost making him fall asleep. At one point, Dousen also wanted to get into the carriage for some comfort, but Liszt forcefully kicked him off.
"A dog that doesn't follow the car wheels but wants to ride in it? That's outrageous!"
The main reason was that Dousen was too big; when he squeezed into the carriage, Liszt was squeezed so much that he had nowhere to stretch his legs. Moreover, he weighed nearly 800 pounds, and as soon as he got on the carriage, the two slow horses pulling it were panting heavily.
Leaving the road from Thorn Ridge, you enter the dirt roads common on Coral Island.
There was a lot of dust.
Dousen ran alongside the convoy for a while, turning into a cloud of dust. Liszt quickly put on a mask and pulled down the curtains on the car windows. Around 10 a. m., the convoy arrived safely in Coral City.
"Advisor Gortai, you take Blair and Isaiah to discuss the handover with Mr. Frank first. I'm going to visit my grandmother."
"As you wish, sir."
They parted ways, and the carriage continued its journey towards the small, independent castle on the outskirts of Coral City. When the servants in the castle saw the Black Tulip flag fluttering on the carriage, they knew who had arrived, and the steward quickly led the servants out to greet them.
"Young Master Liszt, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Where is Grandmother?
"The old lady is in the castle chatting with Miss Lvera. Miss Lvera came to the castle earlier today to keep the old lady company."
"My sister is here too?" Liszt was not surprised.
He had already seen a carriage parked at the castle gate, bearing a flag with a special design; it was Lvera's carriage. The design on the flag was her own—supposedly an abstract combination of hot springs, birds, Tulip, and a duchess—but Liszt couldn't make it out.
As he entered the castle, he told his valet Tom, "Take good care of Dousen; don't let it hurt anyone."
"Understood, sir." Tom held onto Dousen's leash, looking a little nervous. Taking care of Dousen had previously been Thomas's job.
Today, Thomas will be closely following Liszt, so Dousen's role will fall to him.
His strength couldn't restrain Dousen; he could only barely keep up.
Fortunately, Dousen is very well trained; if Liszt tells it not to wander off, it won't.
"Look, look, who's here?" Upon seeing Lady Penelope, before Liszt could even greet her, the old lady exclaimed, " Lvera, I told you, there must be some secret connection between this boy and that boy Levis. The caravan has just returned, and he can't wait to come here."
