Taking Stock of the Spoils

The snake-slaying operation had been a complete success. Great exhilaration was written across every face as everyone gathered around the Six-Headed King Sea Serpent, feeling its immense size and savage ferocity.

Bucket after bucket of snake blood was swiftly collected.

It was poured over the potted Snake Blood Fruits, but there was simply too much blood for the pots to hold. Liszt had no intention of wasting it; he wanted to maximize the profits. "Load the snake blood onto the carts along with the potted Snake Blood Fruits and transport them back to the castle immediately. And bring my shell back to the castle too!"

He stood and looked over the enormous corpse of the Six-Headed King Sea Serpent. Such a massive body, roasted by the Mana Fire Dragon, had portions that were nearly cooked through.

Selling it for a good price would likely be difficult—after all, he had never heard of materials from Magic Beasts or sea monsters being sold after they had been cooked.

"Drag the Six-Headed King Sea Serpent's body back to the castle. Then break it down into materials, see whether it has any valuable parts that can be sold, and store the rest as food."

Liszt announced his decision on how to handle the corpse.

All at once, he felt there was a need to make a speech and spur on his followers. "In hunting the intermediate sea monster, the Six-Headed King Sea Serpent, every one of you gave your all.
