Attack on Sardine Bay and Snake Tooth City (Third Update, Celebration for a Ten-Thousand-Coin Reward)

This chapter is an extra update for "Dreaming Back to Ancient Jiangnan"'s ten-thousand reward.

The meeting was held in solemn fashion. An enormous parchment map was spread across the wall, its black ink lines outlining a simple map of the seas.

This map was rather interesting.

With the upper left and lower right corners as its central axis, the left side had a yellowish-brown background representing the mainland, while the right side had a pale blue background representing the sea.

Islands were scattered across the sea, representing the Sapphire Grand Duchy. Closest to the map's central axis was Iron Hoof Island.

Using the upper right and lower left corners as another central axis, the mainland was divided in two by a red line. The upper half belonged to the Iron Ridge Kingdom, while the lower half belonged to the Eagle Kingdom.

This axis happened to split Iron Hoof Island in half as well. In other words, the distance from Iron Hoof Island to the lands of either kingdom was the same.

Both were a six-day voyage.

Of course, if measured precisely, reaching the Iron Ridge Kingdom took six and a half days, since it lay slightly off the central axis. One could roughly estimate that Iron Hoof Island was more than 1,200 kilometers from the Eagle Kingdom's coastline, about the distance from Beijing to Shanghai.

Roughly the width of nine Taiwan Straits.

"In previous years, our attacks on the Eagle Kingdom's interior were mainly concentrated along four coastlines: Sardine Bay, Yellow Mud Coast, Roaring River Estuary, and Lush Corridor. This year, however, we will coordinate with the Iron Ridge Kingdom's knights to attack the Sardine Bay region. Around it lie four major cities: Snake Tooth City, Heroic Heart City, Cold Current City, and Dragonfall City."
