On Dodo Island.
The Human Skull Trees were laden with fruit. No one picked them, and few birds came to peck at them. Many Human Skull Fruits simply rotted on the branches.
Whenever Liszt came, he would pick some to take back, mainly to dig out the Human Skull Fruit seeds for planting in the Human Skull Tree plantation. However, he could not be bothered to spend too much time picking Human Skull Fruits. His time was precious; there was no need to toil over a few seeds.
"A Ke, wait here. I'm going to feed Little Fire Dragon Rio."
"Mm." A Ke nodded simply, seeming a little absent-minded. She was still immersed in the extraordinary experience of touching the magic net.
Liszt headed straight for the crater. At his call, Rio, already ravenous with hunger, instantly rushed out.
Liszt and A Ke had both been excavating ruins recently, so Rio could only go hungry on the island. Now, after taking on a flesh-and-blood body and landing before Liszt, he expressed his dissatisfaction with a tremendous roar. "Roar!" His gaze was equally fierce.
As though Liszt were merely his litter-scooping servant.
Seeing this, Liszt merely smiled, too lazy to argue with him. He was nothing more than an ungrateful white-eyed wolf that could never be tamed. "Want some beef?"
Rio urged, "Roar!"
Liszt took out grilled steaks piece by piece and let Rio swallow them in huge mouthfuls. When Rio was halfway through eating, Liszt began handing steaks stuffed with Dragon-Bewildering Heart Fruit to Rio's mouth—dragons possessed great intelligence, and Liszt feared that Rio would become suspicious of the Dragon-Bewildering Heart Fruit, so he concealed it.
Rio, eating with relish, had no idea of the sinister intentions of the human before him. He roughly chewed the steak twice, then swallowed
