Preserve a spark for the phoenix?
The moment Liszt saw the contents of the Smoke mission, his eyes lit up. This meant the phoenix might not truly have perished after all; there was still hope for its rebirth.
"But what am I supposed to do?"
For no reason, he thought of the phoenix egg he had stored in his space ring. Though it had lost its essence and become a lifeless stone, he had never carefully verified whether any trace of phoenix aura remained within. Perhaps such a miraculous creature had other ways of preserving its spark.
"I'll go back and analyze the situation with A Ke, have her research exactly how the phoenix's spark should be preserved. I can rack my brains here and still get nowhere."
He glanced at the Phoenix Bloodstone embedded in the cave walls. He dearly wanted to dig it all out, but while the cave was neither particularly large nor small, there were at least a hundred tons of Phoenix Bloodstone to be mined. It could not be cleared out in a short while.
Moreover, no serfs could come down here. He would have to excavate the Phoenix Bloodstone himself, which would be exceedingly troublesome. "I'll leave it for now. If the phoenix egg truly still retains its spark, then perhaps this is still the best place to nurture a phoenix. So long as Doomsday Volcano does not go extinct, one day a true phoenix may yet rise from the flames here."
He shook his head.
In his heart, he spoke to the Fire Dragon Rio. "Rio, don't come to the crater of Doomsday Volcano to cultivate anymore. I'll seal this place away to nurture the phoenix."
"Roar!" Rio was rather unwilling, but it had already sensed the suppressed indignation in Liszt's heart and
