Background

Tuoba Xuan is Tuoba Xi’s only grandson and direct descendant, with both of his parents deceased. As the Young Sect Master of the Sacred Dragon Sect, he was initially believed to possess only Innate Soul Power Level Three and a dirt-yellow piglet martial soul. His cultivation failed to progress for five years, making him a target of ridicule and bringing hardship to both himself and his grandfather. 1 2

Refusing to remain protected within the sect, he left the Sacred Dragon Sect to prove that he could become “a powerhouse who stands tall between heaven and earth.” Tuoba Xi supported his departure, giving him the Green Wood Ring and reaffirming that the sect would remain his home. 1

Outside the sect, Tuoba Xuan discovered that the remnant soul of the Mountain Dragon King had lodged in his body following his transmigration. The remnant had absorbed his soul power and innate potential to sustain itself, reducing his original Innate Full Soul Power to Level Three. In exchange for leading it to Dragon Valley, Tuoba Xuan accepted the dragon’s promise of compensation. 2

At Dragon Valley, the Mountain Dragon King rewarded him for preserving Little Mountain Dragon King’s remnant soul. His martial soul awakened into the Mountain Dragon King, while his meridians, muscles, and overall constitution underwent a dramatic transformation. 3

Dugu Family Alliance

Tuoba Xuan confronts Dugu Bo with knowledge of the Dugu family’s toxin backlash. In exchange for treatment, Dugu Bo leads him to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, where Tuoba Xuan absorbs immortal herbs and forms the Ice and Fire Golden Dragon Body.
