Background / History

Qian Shangyi was born into the Angel Clan, but her mutated martial soul led to her being neglected and ultimately cast out from Spirit Hall. She struggled to survive, then went to the Far North, where constant combat with soul beasts and the extreme climate strengthened her resolve and cultivation. 21 62

After becoming the Snow God, she remained connected to the Far North and the Snow God Hall. Snow Emperor had known her before her ascension; although Shangyi once invited Snow Emperor to ascend with her, Snow Emperor declined because she had no need at the time. 27

She selected Qian Lingche—another Angel Clan member with a mutated ice-based Six-Winged Angel martial soul—as her successor. Before his formal inheritance, she appeared in his dreams and provided divine power through her statue. 21 22

The Snow God watches Qian Lingche from the God Realm and reacts with displeasure when he is attacked with Time Slow. 7 Her statue later initiates the Nine Trials, formally naming him as her candidate and requiring him to reach Spirit King with a 100,000-year fifth spirit ring. 21

Guidance Through the Divine Trials

She presides over Qian Lingche's progression from the First Trial through the Ninth Trial. Her tests require him to defeat himself, understand a god's duty, judge good and evil, defeat powerful opponents, and eventually surpass her former strength. 39 45 47 61 62

Conflict with the Asura God
