Background / History
Tang San is Tang Hao's son. As a child, he and a little girl attempted to ambush Qian Lingche, but Qian Lingche froze their hidden weapons and defeated them. Tang Hao intervened to protect Tang San, then died in the subsequent battle against Qian Lingche and the Snow Empress. 32 33
Qian Shangyi states that Tang San's body was ten years old while his soul was that of an adult, and that the Asura God had allowed an otherworldly soul to possess him. 41 59
Following the fall of Heaven Dou City, Tang San escaped and received the Asura God's inheritance. The god boosted him directly to level 99, instructing him to obtain soul rings for both of his Martial Souls before fully inheriting the divine position. 59
Seeking power to revive and reunite with Xiao Wu, Tang San went to the Star Dou Forest intending to obtain the soul bones of the Sky Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape after their deaths. Bibi Dong's Title Douluo forces intercepted him; his incomplete soul-ring configuration left him unable to contend with them until the Asura God extracted him. 60 61
The Asura God later showed Tang San evidence that Qian Lingche had killed Tang Hao and ordered him to kill the Snow God. Tang San accepted the command and confronted Qian Lingche, but was decisively overwhelmed. 64 67
Appearance
Tang San first appears as a young boy. After receiving the Asura inheritance, he is surrounded by scarlet killing intent and Divine Power in battle. 32 64
- Manifests three pairs of Asura arms while using his divine power. 65
- Wields the scarlet Asura Demon Sword. 64 65
- His divine techniques create a blood-red, killing-intent-filled Asura space. 65
Personality
Tang San is fiercely devoted to those close to him. Tang Hao's death drives his hatred of Qian Lingche, while Xiao Wu's earlier sacrifice remains his central motivation for pursuing greater strength and godhood. 59 60 64
He is determined and willing to endure severe strain to advance. After the Asura God raised him to level 99, he silently endured the pressure on his meridians and immediately began circulating the Mysterious Heaven Skill to absorb the granted power. 59 However, his urgency to gain strength can lead him to overreach, such as forcing a God-Given Soul Ring past his limit until it shattered from backlash. 61
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San possesses the Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer Martial Souls. 59
- Uses the Flight ability of his Blue Silver Emperor right-leg soul bone for rapid travel. 60
- Used the Clear Sky Hammer to break Chrysanthemum Douluo's attacking petals. 60
- His Clear Sky Hammer initially lacked soul rings, leaving it inadequate against a Title Douluo's ninth spirit ability. 60
- Despite reaching level 99, he initially possessed only his first four soul rings. 61
Mysterious Heaven Skill
Tang San uses the Mysterious Heaven Skill to guide and absorb immense Soul Power.
- He circulated it after the Asura God's direct empowerment to stabilize the surge through his meridians. 59
- The technique did not prevent all backlash when he exceeded his endurance while raising a God-Given Soul Ring's age. 61
Asura Divine Power
After inheriting the Asura God's power, Tang San became a God King and gained scarlet Divine Power associated with slaughter. 64
- Slaughter Domain — creates a killing-intent-filled domain, though Qian Lingche's Angel Domain suppressed and shattered it. 64
- Divine Skill—Asura — forms a scarlet space that suppresses an opponent's Divine Power; its effect on Qian Lingche was minimal. 65
- Divine Skill—Extermination — summons a massive Asura Demon Sword within the Asura space. Qian Lingche froze and shattered it with an Ice Shield. 65
- Can multiply the Asura Demon Sword into tens of thousands of descending blades. 65
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Asura Demon Sword — super-divine artifact used to launch sword rain and divine attacks against Qian Lingche. 64 65
- Blue Silver Emperor right-leg soul bone — grants the Flight ability. 60
- God-Given Soul Rings — fourteen rings bestowed by the Asura God; their achievable age depends on Tang San's endurance. 61
Relationships
- Tang Hao — father. Tang Hao defended Tang San against Qian Lingche and was subsequently killed by Qian Lingche and the Snow Empress. 32 33
- Xiao Wu — close companion whose sacrifice motivates Tang San's pursuit of power and desire to reunite with her in the God Realm. 59 60
- Asura God — patron and divine predecessor. The Asura God boosted Tang San to level 99, granted him God-Given Soul Rings, and ordered him to kill Qian Lingche. 59 61 64
- Qian Lingche — enemy and Tang Hao's killer. Tang San sought vengeance against him but was defeated in their divine duel. 64 67
- Yu Xiaogang — Tang San's teacher; his connection to Tang San led Tang Xiao to become acquainted with him. 52
- Bibi Dong — adversary whose subordinates attacked Tang San when he tried to take the soul bones of the Sky Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape. 60 61
