Another Road of Bones

A white crescent moon hung overhead, beneath its glow.

Silence reigned in all directions. The ground near the breach was carpeted with the mutilated remains of Evil Specters, while mountains rose and fell in the distance, vast and majestic. As far as the eye could see, the land seemed to have been smeared over with rotting flesh and blood, taking on a deep, withered black hue.

Crossing the spatial breach, Liu Feng landed atop a nearby peak. The flesh over his body writhed as dead gu insects were squeezed out one after another.

Among the gu worms parasitizing his flesh, some of the newly born offspring gu were still too immature to endure the moonlight.

"The white moonlight does not harm me personally, but the life force here drains far faster than it does in the Void Realm."

From the corner of his eye, Liu Feng looked toward Divine Yin Empress and saw her frowning. Her circumstances were likely far worse than his.

"So this is the passage from falsehood into truth! Where does Fellow Daoist Liu intend to go? We should set out quickly. This concubine feels deeply uneasy." Divine Yin's voice was soft and ghostly.

For someone who had once stood at the level of a sect master to feel uneasy, even if no calamity was visible before them, it still signified great misfortune.

Liu Feng nodded. "We need to make a trip eastward. Along the way, we can investigate the ruins in this realm."

He had formed a conjecture, but they ultimately knew nothing. This concerned the secrets of heaven and earth; this place was very likely from a land where the Great Dao was complete.
