Normally, the distance between the two continents should have been far smaller than the distance between planar worlds, yet in God's Domain, the two continents seemed as though they had been completely isolated from one another.
Not only was information cut off between the two continents, but their cultural differences were also enormous.
Even for the same class, they gave the impression of being two entirely different professions, with completely different combat styles.
On the Eastern Continent, combat mainly relied on combining magic skills with combat techniques, with mana manipulation serving as support. On the Western Continent, however, combat mainly relied on mana manipulation combined with magic skills, with combat techniques serving as support.
Beyond the differences in combat, the greatest difference lay in the entirely different ways kingdoms and empires were governed.
On the Eastern Continent, kingdoms and empires used kingdom armies and imperial armies to govern NPC cities. On the Western Continent, however, NPC cities were governed by the Adventurer's Guild. The kingdom and imperial armies had only one purpose: protecting the borders of kingdoms and empires and standing against the main forces of monster armies.
Because there were so many monsters on the Western Continent, monster armies invading kingdoms and empires was perfectly normal. They even launched attacks on towns every few days, far more frequently than the occasional monster sieges on the Eastern Continent. Border towns in particular were occupied by monsters from time to time.
