Background / History

Dai Mubai was born into the Star Luo Imperial Family alongside his elder brother, Dai Weisi. Although Dai Mubai was considered the more naturally gifted Soul Master, Dai Weisi received and fused one of Dai Mubai's Double Pupils, granting the elder brother superior Spiritual Power and Soul Power. Dai Mubai retained exceptional cultivation talent but lost his left eye and became increasingly dispirited, impulsive, and irritable. 228

Their father, Dai Tianfeng, allowed the brothers' rivalry to continue under Star Luo's brutal succession traditions. He intended to suppress Dai Mubai until he fled Star Luo City, using him as a whetstone to temper Dai Weisi while secretly monitoring him. 228

Dai Mubai later fled Star Luo City and spent years in Suotuo City. He had been engaged to Zhu Zhuqing through their families, but abandoned both Star Luo and their shared political burden before she reached him. 376

Dai Mubai is proud, confrontational, and accustomed to relying on his status and strength. At the Rose Hotel, he dismisses Tang San's use of hidden weapons as unorthodox and escalates their dispute into a fight. 355 356

The loss of his left eye worsened his temper and impulsiveness. He continued attacking Tang San despite being wounded and irritated, driven in part by the trauma and anger surrounding his childhood injury. 356

Despite his arrogance, Dai Mubai recognizes strength when he sees it. Dai Mubai meets Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Huo Yuhao at the Rose Hotel while attempting to claim a room. He challenges them, unleashes his White Tiger Martial Soul, and defeats Tang San after using Mental Oppression to create an opening. 353 355 357

After the fight, he invites the group to seek him out at Shrek Academy if they encounter trouble, identifying himself as the One-Eyed White Tiger. 358

Separation from Zhu Zhuqing

When Zhu Zhuqing chooses to join Spirit Hall, Dai Mubai attempts to persuade her to stay. She condemns him for fleeing Star Luo City and leaving her to endure their families' pressure alone, then definitively leaves with Wang Zhao. 375 376

As part of the Shrek and later Blue Tyrant Academy group, Dai Mubai serves as a frontline fighter.
