Background / History

Ning Rongrong is Ning Fengzhi's daughter and the pampered young lady of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. As heir to the Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda, she grows up accustomed to flattery and to looking down on other young geniuses, believing her status and martial soul place her above them. 17

Her curiosity toward Bai Yi begins when Ning Fengzhi brings her to watch his match against Heaven Water Academy. Learning that Ye Lingling—heir to the Nine Heart Begonia—remains constantly at Bai Yi's side leaves Rongrong unsettled, as she expects powerful Soul Masters to seek the support of the Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda rather than the reverse. 17

Ning Fengzhi later arranges for her to study at Heaven Dou Royal Academy and potentially join the Heaven Dou Royal Team under Bai Yi. Bai Yi initially objects because her support role overlaps with Ye Lingling's, while Rongrong resents the prospect of supporting him alongside Ye Lingling.
