In the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace, Emperor Xue Ye summoned his ministers.
"Regarding the matter the Thunder Demon mentioned a few days ago, have you all come up with a solution?" Xue Ye asked calmly from his high seat.
Below, the ministers whispered amongst themselves. Someone stepped forward, cupped his hands, and said, "Reporting to Your Majesty, this minister believes that since the Spirit Hall has said nothing, we also need not react. We can pretend we didn't hear it."
"Exactly. The demon is merely a clown. The Spirit Hall has peerless Title Douluo, invincible beneath the gods, and they can surely protect us," another person declared, puffing out his chest as if deeply admiring the Spirit Hall.
On the imperial throne, Emperor Xue Ye's expression remained unruffled, revealing nothing of his thoughts.
Ever since he lost his beloved son, he had become a different person. No longer decadent or absent-minded, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to being the Emperor of Heaven Dou.
Some elderly ministers looked at their Emperor, tears welling in their eyes. The Emperor they once knew had finally returned.
Xue Ye remained expressionless, his gaze still calmly fixed below.
He could see clearly who was loyal to him and dedicated to the nation, and who were traitors colluding with the Spirit Hall.
Before, he had turned a blind eye. But now, seeing anyone from the Spirit Hall made him furious, his heart burning with rage, pounding wildly.
After a while, the discussion in the court ceased. Everyone looked nervously at the high seat, awaiting a decision.
"Since the Spirit Hall has made no move, let it be so. Disperse!" Emperor Xue Ye waved his sleeve indifferently and rose to leave, his every movement exuding imperial presence.
The ministers below quickly shouted in unison: "We respectfully take our leave, Your Majesty!"
On the mountaintop in Thunder City, Zhong Su descended rapidly from the sky amidst crackling lightning, creating a large crater in the plaza.
Rumble—
As the lightning dispersed, Zhong Su walked out with a low groan. All the members of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Family present knelt on one knee.
"Where are the others?" Zhong Su scanned the surroundings with dissatisfaction. Why were there still so few people?
Yu Luomian and Yu Yuanzhen exchanged glances and nervously stepped forward, saying in unison, "Old Ancestor, perhaps they are too far away and haven't arrived yet!"
"Presumptuous!" Zhong Su unleashed a bolt of lightning, sending them flying.
They fell to the ground, clutching their chests and spitting blood, their faces filled with shock. Zhong Su's strength had grown even stronger.
"How dare you defy me, the Thunder Demon! I will make them taste the might of lightning! Lightning, come!" Zhong Su beckoned, and a bolt of lightning flew towards him. He mounted the purple lightning and soared towards the horizon.
He descended the mountain.
On the mountaintop, Yu Yuanzhen watched the demon in the distance, his face filled with worry.
This was going to be difficult!
In the Heaven Dou Empire, after descending the mountain, Zhong Su immediately launched indiscriminate attacks on the land.
"Lightning, unleash your power!"
Violent thunderbolts struck the ground, creating numerous craters. The scorched earth was devoid of any life.
He raged onward, his thunderous might slicing through cities, leaving behind broken bridges, ruined walls, and corpses strewn everywhere. For thousands of miles, the desolate wilderness showed no trace of green, only darkness.
The grieving people were helpless and pitiful, only able to weep as they looked at the lightning.
Every scream they uttered had been heard by the gentle world, and it had responded.
"Crack— crack—"
Sharp cracking sounds echoed, and the space filled with dense, small fissures. The divine realm world was venting its sorrow in this manner.
"This cannot continue. Someone must stop Zhong Su," Shendu said, mending the fissures while observing the situation with Zhong Su.
Heaven Dou Imperial Palace.
A minister cried out in terror, "Quickly, invite the adults from the Spirit Hall for help!"
The once solemn and majestic court descended into chaos. No one had expected the Thunder Demon to be so frenzied, slaughtering humans. This was truly the work of a demon!
Emperor Xue Ye frowned slightly at the pandemonium below and let out a heavy snort, silencing everyone.
"What are you panicking about? Spread my command: the Heaven Dou Empire's army is to assemble immediately and march to the front lines. Ensure the demon is lured elsewhere. Also, send for the Heaven Dou Empire's offering, Poison Douluo." Xue Ye calmly issued his orders, showing no sign of panic.
"We obey Your Majesty!" everyone shouted in unison.
In the Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong, following Shendu's plan, went to find Qian Daoliu.
In the room, Qian Daoliu lay haggardly by the bedside. Qian Renxue still had not woken up.
Bibi Dong walked over and said coldly, "The Thunder Demon, Zhong Su, is wantonly slaughtering cities."
The old man did not get up upon hearing this. Bibi Dong frowned slightly, worried she hadn't made herself clear, and repeated herself.
But he still did not move.
Qian Daoliu stared blankly at his unconscious granddaughter, having lost interest in everything else. What did the lives of mortals matter to him?
When Xiaoxue was in trouble, his world had fallen into slumber.
"Xiaoxue, when will you wake up? Grandpa misses you," he whispered, gently holding Qian Renxue's small hand, tears dripping onto her arm.
Seeing that he was unwilling to act, Bibi Dong had no choice but to return and report to Shendu.
"Qian Daoliu won't act. What do we do now?" Bibi Dong asked Shendu, her gaze probing and somewhat scrutinizing.
Perhaps she did not realize that her behavior had become somewhat coercive.
Shendu's gaze turned icy as he sensed her overbearing attitude.
"Heh, I have no choice but to act, after all, who told them their granddaughter died?" Shendu said with an indifferent sneer, making it impossible for Bibi Dong to discern his true intentions.
"Very well, leave this matter to me. I wonder how much of your strength you have recovered after all these long years, Zhong Su."
"Oh? Are you going to take action yourself, Shendu?" Bibi Dong was quite surprised, looking at him in astonishment.
"That is none of your concern. You may leave."
Shendu dismissed her, and no matter how curious she was, Bibi Dong had no choice but to close the door and depart.
Inside the secret chamber, Shendu did not do anything, choosing instead to wait quietly, for through Zhong Su's perspective, he saw that the city he was about to reach was none other than—Slaughter City!
Good grief, you chose this path yourself; you have no one else to blame.
He opened the live broadcast and started the recording.
Now, he could only wait to see how much strength Zhong Su would display.
In Slaughter City, the once peaceful and serene sky was suddenly blanketed by dark clouds, and violent lightning descended upon the city in an instant.
Swish!
A flash of sword light cut through the lightning in the sky, a blood-red strike surging into the heavens, cleaving the storm clouds asunder and letting the light shine through.
"How bold! What kind of thing dares to block my, Zhong Su's, path?" Zhong Su descended furiously from the clouds, his body wreathed in lightning.
Below, a resolute middle-aged man charged upward, gripping a sharp sword.
The man's aura was brutal, carrying waves of the scent of blood. His eyes were blood-red, and his complexion was a sallow, flushed yellow, appearing somewhat unhealthy.
Yet, his powerful presence was enough to make one shudder just by standing there.
"Hmph! A mere clown, prepare to die!" Zhong Su summoned lightning in his rage, and the sky erupted with thunder and flashes.
Before him, the man held his sword in his left hand, and with a flip of his right, a massive Clear Sky Hammer appeared in his grip.
"Who dares to trespass in Slaughter City? Death without exception!" The King of Slaughter's icy voice echoed across the sky.
