Background / History

Dan Heng is a Nameless of the Astral Express who helps defend Herta Space Station during the Antimatter Legion attack. He introduces himself and March 7th to Xiao Xi, explains their purpose at the station, and prioritizes escorting the group out of danger. 2 3

He acts as the Express crew's measured spokesperson during their first encounter with Belobog's Silvermane Guards, stating that the crew comes from beyond the stars and seeks an audience with the Supreme Guardian. 7

Before the Express travels to the Luofu, Dan Heng reveals that he is specifically banned from entering it and initially wishes to avoid returning. He insists that he is Dan Heng—a Nameless and companion of the Astral Express—not the person tied to his past. 17

Scalegorge Waterscape Crisis

Dan Heng transforms into his High Elder form and battles Blade before Yanqing and Jing Yuan interrupt the confrontation. When Jing Yuan requests his help opening Scalegorge Waterscape, Dan Heng initially refuses to promise anything but ultimately joins the mission as himself rather than as Dan Feng. 34 35 36 37

Facing the Vidyadhara and the Past

Following the Luofu crisis, Dan Heng chooses to meet the Vidyadhara High Elder Preceptor with Stelle in order to settle the matter. He has no interest in reclaiming the High Elder position and considers Bailu the rightful current High Elder. 39 40

Later, he agrees to meet Jingliu and to see Bailu, accepting that Dan Feng's memories and emotions cannot simply be ignored while maintaining that they do not define him. 67 68
