Zhao Fu used the Crown of Kings to kill Wang Xiao and occupy Zheng State Town, prompting factions across the Northern Continent to realize Great Qin threatened them all. Su Yan agreed to unite the factions against Great Qin, while the dynasty inheritors remained undecided after receiving his letters.
After Great Qin destroyed Zheng State, Zhao Fu absorbed its fortune and legacy, strengthened his forces, and prepared the territory for winter. He also ordered four major roads built from Great Qin City to connect its growing network of settlements, before good news arrived on the third day.
After Zhou Kingdom's location was exposed, Zhao Fu arranged to exploit the division among its players and recruited Wu Yang, a powerful figure in its faction. Wu Yang agreed to betray Zhou Kingdom in exchange for protection for his wife and daughter, then asked for a modest position in Great Qin.
Zhao Fu learned that most northern Central Continent factions were organizing against Great Qin and began preparing for the threat. He also arranged to bring Wu Yang’s wife and daughter to safety while continuing plans against the Zhou Kingdom.
Wu Yang prepared to hand Zhou Kingdom Town to Great Qin, gathering defectors and secretly weakening the town’s defenses. By the end, its guards were drinking his drugged wine as Zhao Fu’s forces waited outside.
In the real world, Chai Shaohui studied under the guidance of his mother, Nangong Shuyue, while political rivals challenged his rule over the Zhou Kingdom. In Apocalypse World, Zhao Fu’s forces took control of Zhou Kingdom Town and surrounded its protected core district.
After Great Qin captured Zheng State Town, Chai Shaohui and Nangong Shuyue confronted Zhao Fu and learned that Wu Yang had joined Great Qin. The Zhou Kingdom’s young inheritor prepared to face Zhao Fu as the kingdom’s defeat became inevitable.
Zhao Fu defeated Chai Shaohui and was about to kill him and Nangong Shuyue when she offered the Zhou Kingdom’s submission in exchange for Great Qin’s help against Great Song. Zhao Fu accepted, restored Chai Shaohui’s severed arm, and named him Zhou Lord.
Zhao Fu conquered Zhou Kingdom, absorbed its fortune, and arranged how its town and people would be governed. As he prepared to return to Great Qin, Nangong Shuyue dismissed the generals and began undressing in front of him.
Nangong Shuyue offered herself to Zhao Fu, hoping to secure influence and a future for her son and family, and Zhao Fu accepted her advances. Their intimacy was interrupted by a report of a major event in Fighting City, which Zhao Fu heard in Nangong Shuyue’s presence, leaving her pleased that he had begun to trust her.
Zhao Fu returned to Great Qin after accepting Nangong Shuyue as his woman, leaving her to manage Zhou Kingdom Town. When the Chai Family confronted her over Zhou Kingdom's destruction, Nangong Xiong arrived and told her to return to the Nangong Family.
Nangong Xiong tried to take Nangong Shuyue back to the Nangong Family, while Chai Family members sought to repudiate her and seize control of her faction. Nangong Shuyue revealed that she was the Great Qin Imperial Prince’s woman, changing the Chai Family’s stance, and the chapter ended with Chai Shaohui learning the news.
Zhao Fu found Fighting City in chaos and left Ge Nie to compete for the City Lord position without Great Qin’s aid. Back in Great Qin, he searched for the missing Qi State and focused on developing roads and producing Yin Bone Porcelain.
Zhao Fu held Qin Times Academy’s first examination to select promising students for Great Qin’s civil and military service. Thirteen youths earned the right to meet him and became key cultivation candidates, just as news arrived that another festival had begun.
Zhao Fu learned that the seven-day Calamity Festival would bring disasters and reward individuals who helped resist them, with national factions gaining extra merit from disaster resistance. He examined the festival’s pill rewards and found several extraordinary pills, including ones that could grant Heaven-grade aptitude or revive the dead.
Zhao Fu spoke with Jiang Rou, who worried that Great Qin might target her, then inspected Great Qin’s disaster resistance ahead of the Calamity Festival. He found its defenses strong enough to offer a major advantage, though earning Merit Points would require actively stopping disasters.
The Calamity Festival began with a devastating wind disaster that ravaged the Terror Forest, while Great Qin remained protected by its natural disaster resistance. Zhao Fu confronted a Wind Calamity Beast and unleashed God · Demon Strike, leaving the battle unresolved.
Zhao Fu hunted Wind Calamity Beasts for merit points and Heaven's Favor during the Calamity Festival, while other regions faced powerful storms and a catastrophic flood. After learning that millions may have drowned, he questioned whether the disaster was too severe for an event.
Zhao Fu investigated a level ten flood disaster and found that the Dragon-Locking Well was its likely source. After killing the ten flood fish guarding the well, he descended into its vast depths and encountered a level-four flood fish.
Zhao Fu fought his way through increasingly dangerous Calamity Beasts as he followed the chains into an enormous underwater hall. There, he found a bound woman who might be behind the flood, but he suspected her seductive invitation was a trap.
Zhao Fu used the Eight Trigrams Unsealing disk to free the woman in green, then revealed that he had secretly fused the Crown of Kings’ chains with her bindings and captured her again. With her sealed once more, he could make her return to her true body and stop the flood disaster.
Zhao Fu subdued the Calamitous Dragon Sword, stopped the flood, and rescued more than 230,000 survivors for Great Qin. He gained a powerful Sage Artifact and a mysterious Imperial Phoenix Statue, but as he prepared to put away the sword, the woman in green suddenly reappeared.
Zhao Fu exchanged merit points for three powerful pills and sought more points to buy the Enlightenment Pill. Su Yan blamed Great Qin for a devastating flood and spread the claim that Zhao Fu had bought the pills, escalating fears of Great Qin’s growing power.
Zhao Fu entered a drought-stricken region and fought fire disaster beasts while gathering merit points. After Mu Yuan asked for help against a Level Six fire disaster beast threatening his city, Zhao Fu joined the battle and struck it with the Calamitous Dragon Sword.
Zhao Fu defeated a Level 6 Disaster Beast, obtained the Enlightenment Pill, and upgraded the Great Spirit Roc Bow into the Calamity Fire Bow. Xian Ru explained that the Imperial Phoenix Statue could strengthen Great Qin with phoenix aura, leaving Zhao Fu to decide how to acquire it.
