"Blood Fire Stacking, nine is the limit, one is the method; burn the Barbarian Fire nine times to achieve the Fire Worship Technique!" Su Ming muttered unconsciously. This phrase repeated and echoed incessantly within his mind, the volume growing louder and louder until it finally roared like thunder, reverberating through his consciousness.
The faint shadow of the Blood Moon in Su Ming's eyes grew increasingly clear, flickering with an eerie light. It seemed to be burning constantly, causing a faint, stinging pain in his eyes.
This stinging sensation was not very noticeable at first, but as time passed and the bright moon shone down from the sky, the pain intensified. Eventually, the agony became so severe that Su Ming's entire body trembled, as if he could no longer endure it.
He wanted to close his eyes and stop looking at the moon, as if the source of his pain were not fire, but the moonlight itself. Yet, at the same time, he felt an incredibly strong intuition that these changes were the critical moment for mastering this strange Barbarian art.
If he closed his eyes, it would be equivalent to giving up his cultivation. He even had a premonition that if he were to quit now, he would likely never be able to practice this technique again.
"Blood Fire Stacking... how does one stack the fire!!" Su Ming's eyes were bloodshot. The shadow of the red moon, swirling amidst the blood-red veins, replaced his pupils, making him look truly shocking.
Within his eyes, the burning shadow of the Blood Moon seemed to dry up all the moisture, causing his eyes to appear withered even as they were filled with blood-red lines, as if they were about to wither away completely.
Su Ming let out a roar toward the sky, his expression twisting. He circulated the blood within his body, but no matter how it flowed, it could not alleviate the dryness in his eyes; instead, the sensation of withering grew even more intense.
Gradually, the moon began to blur in Su Ming's vision.
If there had been anyone else beside Su Ming at this moment, they would have clearly seen red fire erupting from his eyes, burning fiercely like blood.
"How to stack it!! How on earth can one stack the blood fire!!" Struggling, Su Ming could not grasp the meaning of the words containing the strange Barbarian art. As his vision blurred significantly, he slowly began to close his eyes, knowing that if he did not, he might lose his sight forever.
But the moment his eyelids were nearly shut, a strange image flashed through his mind like lightning. It was a scene from when he had saved Bai Ling, deep within the cave of the tribe, where he had seen those Moon Wings on the red tree trunks, their expressions filled with pain and sorrow.
Those Moon Wings kept repeating a single action: biting their claws to draw blood, then smearing it over their eyes...
Su Ming's body jolted. As if he had suddenly understood, he snapped his eyes open just before they could fully close. At the same time, he raised his right hand and bit down hard on his fingertip.
Blood immediately welled up from his fingertip, staining his finger red. He raised his hand and smeared the blood directly into his eyes!
As the blood touched his eyes, a roar seemed to echo in the center of his brow. A cool sensation instantly emerged within his eyes, and at that very moment, the entire Black Flame Peak seemed to tremble slightly. Yet, strangely, not a single snowflake moved, as if it were not the mountain itself that had trembled, but its soul.
At the same time, wisps of invisible energy rose suddenly from Black Flame Peak, all surging madly toward the spot where Su Ming sat cross-legged.
Su Ming did not know what this was, but he could feel these wisps of energy rushing toward him and merging into his eyes, as if his eyes had become a vortex, drawing the energy in.
These incoming wisps were like a gentle rain extinguishing a fire. As they arrived, the blurriness in Su Ming's vision rapidly dissipated, replaced by a clarity that was tinged with blood-red light; for a moment, Su Ming's world turned entirely crimson!
In that same instant, the burning, withered sensation in his eyes transformed into a cool relief and vanished, and the pain in his body dissipated into thin air!
Following this, as the strange energy surged into Su Ming's eyes, it spread throughout his body, blending with his blood and circulating through his entire system.
On Su Ming's body, where twenty-two blood lines had been radiating a crimson glow, a twenty-third line suddenly appeared!
And after the appearance of this twenty-third line, a flash of red light flickered in Su Ming's eyes, and a twenty-fourth blood line emerged!!
A long time later, as the sky outside began to brighten and the moon seemed to fade, about to be replaced by the rising sun, Su Ming stood up abruptly and rushed toward the exit. In the blink of an eye, he emerged outside. The mountain wind wailed, blowing his long hair, and the twenty-four blood lines on his body looked ferocious, making Su Ming appear extremely eerie.
He stood there, looking up at the fading moon, and suddenly took a deep breath toward it.
Just then, Su Ming saw the moon flicker violently, and a streak of red moonlight descended, falling directly into his eyes before vanishing in a flash!
Su Ming's body jolted, and on his neck, a twenty-fifth blood line erupted into existence!
Blood Condensation Realm, fourth layer!!
In almost any small tribe, the fourth layer of the Blood Condensation Realm was highly valued. It meant that a tribesman who reached this level could become a member of the hunting party, serving as the backbone of the tribe's combat and protection from that day forward!
Likewise, this fourth layer represented the peak of the early Blood Condensation Realm. Taking one more step to the fifth layer would allow him to become a Barbarian Warrior of the middle Blood Condensation Realm! More importantly, once he reached the middle stage, Su Ming would have the potential to master new Barbarian arts!
For the first time ever, Su Ming felt a sense of power. His expression was calm as he gazed at the fading moon and the brightening sky. As the blood circulated within him, wisps of cool energy flowed from his eyes, and vast amounts of similar energy surged toward him from the mountain.
He even had a strange feeling that he could control... the light of the moon.
Under this strange sensation, Su Ming slowly raised his hand and, the moment the moon vanished, gave a gentle wave.
