Background / History

Zhu Zhuqing was born the legitimate daughter of the Star Luo Zhu Family and was nominally engaged to Dai Mubai through the political marriage alliance between the Zhu and Dai Families. The arrangement forced her into Star Luo's lethal struggle for the throne: victory would make her empress, while defeat meant eradication. Dai Mubai fled Star Luo, leaving her to face the conflict and assassination attempts alone. 75

After escaping to the Heaven Dou Empire, an injured Zhu Zhuqing took shelter at the Ye Family Pharmacy in Qinghe Town. Zhu Family pursuers tracked her down and demanded her return. Rather than submit, she prepared to fight despite her wounds. 75

Qian Renyuan intervened when the pursuers cornered her. Distrusting protection that came with hidden control, Zhu Zhuqing demanded to know his price. He offered her life and the right to choose her own future in exchange for loyalty, provided she proved herself by defeating the pursuer leader.
