Background / History

Ning Fengzhi visited Dugu Manor alongside Chen Xin and Qian Renxue's party after hearing of the Ninth-Grade Purple Ganoderma. Dugu Bo's open deference to Bai Shu and Xie Biyan's ability to suppress Chen Xin made Ning reassess the young man's background and influence. 33 34

He sought the Ninth-Grade Purple Ganoderma because he hoped it could overcome the inherent limitation of his Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda martial soul. Bai Shu could not confirm that the ganoderma would achieve this, but told him that Immortal Herbs might provide a path for the martial soul's evolution. 34 35
