Background / History

Master Pagoda is the spirit of the Primordial Prison Pagoda. He originated in an unknown space within the Mystic Realm inhabited by artifact spirits, where even the lowest-ranked spirits were Top-grade Dao Artifacts. When the Heavenly Dao selected the Nine Heavens Scarlet Fire Sword to depart, Master Pagoda kicked the sword away and chose to lead other artifact spirits to their master instead. He held back the Heavenly Dao for several breaths, enabling several hundred artifact spirits to escape into the Eastern Continent. He then approached Jun Wangyou, knelt, and addressed him as his master. 6

After joining Jun Wangyou, Master Pagoda guided him in handling his many inherited treasures and attempted to keep him grounded despite his sudden access to overwhelming power. 7

Jun Wangyou later discovered Master Pagoda's alchemical ability and appointed him chief alchemist of the Jun Corporation. Though initially reluctant, Master Pagoda refined Qi Refining Pills under Jun Wangyou's direction; he produced more than 2,000 in a single night, but the workload left him considering training other artifact spirits to assist him. 18 19

Master Pagoda subsequently revealed information concerning Jun Wangyou's identity and lineage, including details that left Jun Wangyou reassessing his own past. 42 50 He also assisted Jun Wangyou in interpreting Ancient God Clan writing and advised him on cultivation conversion and the Extreme Dao of Strength. 52 53

Jun Wangyou eventually learned the Primordial Prison Pagoda's true foundation, acknowledged Master Pagoda as his first servant, and gained authority over the pagoda and its prisoners. 58 After Jun Wangyou released the pagoda's inmates, renamed it the Dark Immortal Palace, and founded the Dark Immortal Court, he delegated management of the new force to Master Pagoda. 73

Personality

Master Pagoda initially presents himself with swagger and confidence among the artifact spirits, bold enough to interfere with the Heavenly Dao's selection. However, he becomes reverent upon meeting Jun Wangyou and consistently treats him as his master. 6

He can be reluctant when assigned labor, particularly pill refinement, yet fulfills Jun Wangyou's orders through exceptional skill. He also acts as an adviser, discussing Jun Wangyou's plans, lineage, cultivation, and the capabilities of the Primordial Prison Pagoda. 18 19 50 53 59
