Sarutobi Asuma never would have imagined that the day would come when he, too, would be threatened!
"You were once a respected Jonin of Konoha. Though the Uchiha Clan seized power in a coup, we won't slaughter the innocent without reason."
Uchiha Yu sneered. "If the Sarutobi Clan were about to be wiped out, wouldn't you fight back? Would you really let your whole clan die in humiliation for the sake of the village?"
Sarutobi Asuma was silent for a moment, then said, "I'm the son of the Third Hokage. You're the ones who killed my father. We're mortal enemies."
With that, Sarutobi Asuma clenched his fists.
If the Third Hokage had died protecting the village, that would have been one thing. But instead, he had been killed by the Uchiha Clan in their coup.
Sarutobi Asuma simply couldn't accept such a humiliating death.
Uchiha Yu snorted. "If we could kill Sarutobi Hiruzen, what makes you think you're any different?"
With that, he used his ocular power to lift the intelligence reports from Sarutobi Asuma's desk.
Sarutobi Asuma was shocked. By the time he tried to stop Uchiha Yu, it was already too late.
Uchiha Yu had memorized every last detail.
"Jiraiya? So there are still so many people in the village who want to defect! You've got a nice plan to work together from within and without."
Uchiha Yu gave a faint smile and leaped backward several steps.
Sarutobi Asuma's face darkened.
"You're not leaving here today." Sarutobi Asuma took out a cigarette and lit it. "You may be only seven, but you're already half a ninja. You should know the rules of the ninja world."
On the battlefield, Sarutobi Asuma would never hold back just because his opponent was only seven.
"Why don't we work together?" Uchiha Yu sneered. "Since you didn't have anyone ambush me, I won't fight you to the death. We'll take out the Shimura Clan together. Then your Sarutobi Clan can leave and never think of fighting back again. The Uchiha won't lay a finger on you."
"Are you kidding me?" Sarutobi Asuma laughed in anger. "Can you speak for the Uchiha Clan?"
With that, Sarutobi Asuma drew his Chakra Blade and instantly channeled Wind Release chakra into its edge. "If you die, our chances of success will rise dramatically. That's a deal with nothing to lose."
"Is that so?" Uchiha Yu sneered. "Then there's nothing left to discuss. Let's fight."
At that, four Wood Release clones appeared beside Uchiha Yu.
The five of them, including the original, simultaneously formed hand seals for Wind, Fire, Water, Lightning, and Earth Release.
"Afterward, I'll tell Rasa that you, Sarutobi Asuma, attacked Konoha's envoy. Then you won't even be able to stay in Sunagakure!"
Uchiha Yu sneered.
Sarutobi Asuma broke out in a cold sweat.
How could this kid be so unlike a seven-year-old?
Even Uchiha Itachi and Shisui hadn't been this absurd at his age!
He was actually feeling pressured!
"Five Elements Fusion!"
Uchiha Yu gave Sarutobi Asuma no time to react. Five different techniques blasted out at once!
"Wind Release: Pressure Damage!"
"Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique!"
"Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique!"
"Lightning Release: Earth Walk!"
"Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet!"
All five techniques erupted at once!
Asuma had no time to react. The entire house exploded!
Dust billowed everywhere! Flames burst into the air!
Amid flashes of lightning and rolling thunder, pillars of fire shot skyward!
Sarutobi Asuma was blasted away. He rolled several times across the ground, then lay sprawled there, gasping for breath.
"Is he really only seven? That much chakra—he's every bit as powerful as a Jonin!"
How could Asuma know that Uchiha Yu had a Sage Body, and an almost monstrous amount of chakra?
By then, members of the Sarutobi and Shimura Clans were rushing out of their homes, their faces panicked.
"Who launched that attack?"
"Is Konoha under attack?"
"Damn it! Did Sunagakure come after us?"
"I told you we couldn't trust those country bumpkins!"
But when the dust cleared, they saw a boy with the Sharingan standing among them.
Uchiha Yu!
"Uchiha Yu, so you really are determined to make this situation irreparable!"
Sarutobi Asuma hadn't expected Uchiha Yu to actually blow up his house.
With an explosion that big, was he really trying to start a war?
Uchiha Yu gave a cool smile. He had once dared to kidnap the man who had kidnapped him.
So what if there were six or seven hundred defeated soldiers?
"Sarutobi Asuma, I gave you a chance, but you were useless!"
Uchiha Yu folded his arms and spoke to Sarutobi Asuma.
"You're asking for it!"
Sarutobi Asuma raised his Chakra Blade and charged straight at Uchiha Yu.
The Sarutobi Clan ninja nearby quickly reacted, too, and moved to surround Uchiha Yu.
When they were only a few meters away, Uchiha Yu unleashed his ocular technique.
Great Luo Heaven!
In an instant, a circular barrier with a five-meter radius formed around him, enveloping Uchiha Yu.
Sarutobi Asuma's attacks couldn't get anywhere near Uchiha Yu; they were stopped by the terrifying repulsive force of Great Luo Heaven.
"Very well. You Sarutobi Clan members attacked the Hokage's son while calling yourselves Konoha ninja. I'll remember this." Uchiha Yu sneered. "Do you think Sunagakure will still welcome you?"
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Uchiha Yu used his ocular technique as cover, sank into the earth with Earth Release, and escaped.
When Great Luo Heaven faded, Sarutobi Asuma clenched his fists, his eyes bloodshot.
"Damn it! He played us!" Sarutobi Asuma seethed with anger.
He looked at the Shimura Clan leader beside him and demanded, "Who ambushed Uchiha Yu today?"
The Shimura Clan leader froze for a moment. When no one spoke up, he began taking a head count.
Sure enough, two people were missing.
"Shimura Shinpi and Shimura Fuji." The Shimura Clan leader took a deep breath.
"Those two?" Sarutobi Asuma recalled a strange man covered in bandages.
"Remember, if we fail, it'll be their fault!" Sarutobi Asuma snorted. "They're ninja, yet they acted on their own! What kind of ninja does that?"
The Shimura Clan leader sneered. "If we fail, then we fail. But what do you mean, they acted on their own? Do you expect our Shimura Clan to take orders from the Sarutobi Clan?"
Sarutobi Asuma's expression suddenly turned strange.
Then he sneered. "Shimura, with teammates like you, our failure must be fate!"
The next day.
Rasa looked at Uchiha Yu, who stood before him with a pitiful expression, and took a deep breath.
What did he care about the mess between the Uchiha, Sarutobi, and Shimura Clans?
But when he saw Gaara beside him, gazing at Uchiha Yu with a gentleness utterly unlike his usual cold stare, Rasa rubbed his chin.
"Fine, Uchiha Yu. I'll give you a satisfactory answer!"
At that, Uchiha Yu smiled.
