Background / History

The Auspicious Beast resided near the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Great Forest, where she was regarded as the forest’s treasure and the lifeblood of its fierce beasts. Her golden fur, dragonlike claws, scales, and third eye identified her as the Emperor Auspicious Beast, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion. Red King served as her protector, while Di Tian treated her as a daughter-like charge. 21 22 99

Her bloodline reacted strongly to Tang Wulin’s presence. While Qian Renxue attempted to hunt her as a compatible soul-ring target, the Auspicious Beast abandoned that conflict to pursue Tang Wulin, whom she found irresistibly “fragrant.” 21 23

Tang Wulin lured her away from the core zone and defeated her with the Golden Dragon King bloodline, Golden Dragon Claw, and Golden Dragon Heaven-Shocking. His superior bloodline froze the Golden Dragon bloodline inside her body, preventing her from retaliating. Red King arrived after she had been beaten and later returned her to the Lake of Life, where Bi Ji treated her injuries. 23 26

Despite the beating, she became increasingly infatuated with Tang Wulin. Di Tian attempted to keep her away from him, but she interpreted Tang Wulin’s attack as help in awakening her bloodline and insisted on seeing him again. 99

She later escaped the Lake of Life to approach Tang Wulin during his absorption of the Azure Vine Emperor’s soul ring. After learning that her attraction stemmed from their shared Golden Dragon bloodline, she confessed her feelings to him. 102 103

The Auspicious Beast then initiated a destiny connection with Tang Wulin, binding their fates and sharing memories. Through the connection, she saw a future in which she would become human, love Huo Yuhao, and sacrifice herself to become his soul ring. 104

She subsequently transformed into a human girl and named herself Wang Qiu'er. Gu Yuena kept her at her side as the two entered the human world and began observing Tang Wulin. 107 108

In soul-beast form, the Auspicious Beast resembles a large golden lion with dragon traits. After transforming, Wang Qiu'er appears as a slender, tall girl around twelve or thirteen years old whose features resemble Tang Wulin’s. 21 107
