Chiba used the Chunin Exams to display Konoha’s strength, then declared his plan to unify the Ninja World and launched a campaign against the other nations. As the major villages fell or surrendered, Jiraiya’s attempt to win Nagato over failed, and Chiba confronted Nagato while Obito appeared.

• Morino Ibiki announced that the surviving examinees had passed the written test, and Chiba led the following rounds as Konoha’s Genin dominated the competition.
• Chiba declared that Konoha would abolish the Daimyo system and unite the Ninja World, while the Land of Fire’s Daimyo abdicated and Rasa pledged Sunagakure’s loyalty.
• Orochimaru used White Zetsu as vessels to revive Hashirama Senju, Tobirama Senju, and other deceased Konoha ninja, who learned of Chiba’s unification plan.
• Chiba organized Konoha’s armies under Hashirama, Tobirama, and Hatake Sakumo, and the forces defeated Kumogakure, Iwagakure, and Kirigakure while smaller nations surrendered.
• Chiba told Jiraiya that Nagato and Akatsuki remained obstacles, and Jiraiya went to Amegakure to propose that Nagato join a unified Ninja World.

Chiba unified the Ninja World, prepared the Empire for the return of Natural Energy, and discovered a Dragon Vein passage to a parallel world. He sent a five-person vanguard through it, where they learned they had arrived in a world with no record of Senju Qianye.

• Obito Uchiha revealed his identity to Kakashi, who defeated and captured him, while Chiba restored Nagato and ordered Konoha’s armies to conquer the Five Great Lands.
• Chiba united the lands and villages into an empire, appointed provincial governors, and oversaw reforms as the reanimated dead returned to the Pure Land.
• Hagoromo Otsutsuki gave Chiba his remaining power and warned that Natural Energy would soon return, prompting Chiba to place the provinces on combat alert.
• Mutated creatures and valuable resources appeared across the provinces as Chiba introduced new ninja ranks and directed the Empire to prepare for the changes.
• Chiba found the Dragon Vein at Roran and learned it could connect to parallel worlds, then ordered Orochimaru to develop a way to stabilize the passage.
• Chiba selected Kabuto Yakushi, Sasuke Uchiha, Neji Hyuga, Shikamaru Nara, and Temari for a vanguard, and they crossed into the parallel world.

Sasuke and the Imperial Vanguard exposed Konoha’s plot against the Uchiha, destroyed Root, and opened a gate for the Empire’s invasion. The Imperial forces seized Konoha and confronted the leaders of the other villages, while Tsunade learned that Senju Qianye ruled the Empire.

• Shikaku explained Konoha’s pressure on the Uchiha and Hizashi’s sacrifice, while Shikamaru warned the Ino-Shika-Cho clans that the Empire intended to conquer the world.
• Sasuke stopped Itachi from massacring the Uchiha, showed him the Empire through Tsukuyomi, and awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan as the clan prepared to fight.
• Sasuke and the Uchiha fought off Anbu and Root, exposed Danzo’s plan, and defeated Danzo and Obito while the major clans refused to support Hiruzen.
• Kabuto established a gate to the Empire, and Chiba ordered the Imperial forces to cross and take control of the nations and ninja villages.
• Shisui led the Imperial Conquest Legion into Konoha, where the Imperial forces seized key locations and Shisui confronted Hiruzen.
• Imperial Uchiha and Hyuga members met their counterparts, revealing the Empire’s different way of life and the abolition of the Caged Bird.
• Imperial leaders defeated or confronted their counterparts in Kumogakure, Sunagakure, Iwagakure, and Kirigakure, while Senju envoys told Tsunade that Senju Qianye ruled the Empire.

Chiba brought the Parallel Ninja World into the Empire, then launched a campaign into the One Piece world and defeated the Marines sent to stop him. After Orochimaru discovered how to awaken Conqueror’s Haki, Chiba mastered it and ordered the Empire to expand across the seas, leaving the World Government wary of his power.

• Chiba crossed into the Parallel Ninja World, defeated Hagoromo Otsutsuki and Hamura Otsutsuki, and erased the Death God and Jashin before merging the world into the Main World.
• Chiba selected the One Piece world as the Empire’s next target, and Shisui Uchiha killed Saint Morde after CP0 attacked the newcomers in Orute Kingdom.
• Naruto and Sasuke defeated the Marine fleet led by Akainu and Kizaru, and Chiba’s forces captured Akainu and began conquering West Blue.
• The Empire’s provincial forces overwhelmed Sengoku’s fleet, while Chiba captured Garp, Aokiji, Kizaru, and other Marines and ordered Orochimaru to study Garp’s Conqueror’s Haki.
• Shisui Uchiha, Itachi Uchiha, and Kakashi captured Ace, Luffy, and Zoro, while Tsunade defeated Eustass Kid and brought him into the Empire’s custody.
