Background

Haku is an orphaned survivor of the Mizuki Clan whom Mizuki Han found while fleeing. During the Mist Village's great purge, she is imprisoned with him in a death-row cell. The System identifies her as a juvenile with high-potential Ice Release Kekkei Genkai and names her as a fusion target. 1

When Han escapes the Anbu base, Haku protects his cover by posing as an uncooperative bloodline-limit prisoner, convincing two Anbu guards that he is escorting her. Though terrified, she deliberately draws their attention and enables their passage. 2

After Kisame captures her in Water Prison Jutsu, Han exploits Kisame's mistaken belief that only one fugitive is present, destroys the prison, and escapes with her. Believing Han dead after Kisame wounds him, Haku is devastated; when he survives, she bites her own wrist and offers him her blood to save him. The System uses her high-purity Ice Release genes to repair Han and initiate fusion. 3 5

Haku begins as a frightened child, but repeatedly acts with courage when Han is endangered. She improvises a convincing deception against the Anbu, accepts the danger of serving as bait, and gives Han her blood despite the pain involved. 2 5 9

Han's harsh rules force her into an obedient subordinate role. She is deeply affected by violence and initially struggles with fear, corpses, and the demands of survival, yet she learns to follow orders under pressure and continues supporting him despite exhaustion and injury. 6 11 12 22 32

Her loyalty becomes increasingly active rather than merely dependent. She assists Han after his battle with the Jonin, helps him reach the final detonator, attempts to warm him during his fever and backlash, and remains beside him until he recovers. 37 38 46 47

Great Purge and Underground Escape

Haku escapes the Anbu death-row area with Han, using quick thinking to deceive guards. She is captured by Kisame, rescued by Han, and then saves Han's life by offering her blood after he is fatally wounded. 2 3 5

Anbu Counter-Hunts

Han repeatedly uses Haku as a lure against pursuing Anbu. Although terrified, she runs according to his instructions, draws enemies into traps, and eventually contributes directly by freezing Heavy Hammer during the battle against Wildcat's squad. 9 10 17

Armory Infiltration and Base Demolition

Haku helps retrieve supplies from the armory and carries Explosive Tags through the underground labyrinth as Han prepares to demolish the Anbu base. When confronted by a Jonin-level enemy, Han forcibly pushes her into a maintenance tunnel, treating her as a liability. She later returns to help him after his victory and supports him in reaching the final fuse. 30 32 33 37 38

Escape from the Collapsing Base

During the base's destruction, Haku clings to Han as he forms ice wings and carries her through debris and fire. After reaching the surface, she follows his lead through the chaos of the Mist Village and helps him reach temporary shelter. 40 41 42 43

Recovery and Deep Fusion Crisis

When Han collapses from the backlash of his forbidden technique, Haku tries to keep him alive with her body heat and remains beside him through his recovery. Han later initiates Deep Fusion to assimilate her bloodline; however, an ancient third-party bloodline awakens within Haku and violently resists the process. 46 47 48 49 50
