Land of Snow

From the original work, it is evident that although the Land of Snow is restricted by its geography and climate, its potential for development is immense. While other regions still rely on horse-drawn carriages for transport, the national strength of the Land of Snow has already supported full-scale industrialization—look at their trains, Chakra Armor, and that final Climate Control Device capable of altering the weather!

The geographical location and climate of the Land of Snow are equivalent to the "Polar Bear" of the modern world, and a post-industrialized one at that. While its land area may be far smaller than the Polar Bear's, the Land of Snow possesses an advantage the latter lacks: it is isolated overseas, making it perfectly suited for the kind of isolationist policy once practiced by the British.

Furthermore, since the Land of Snow has already developed trains, can steamships and warships be far behind? In the original story, over a decade later, when Naruto Uzumaki and his team protected Yukie Fujikaze on her trip to the Land of Snow to film a movie, they were still using wooden sailing ships! Can you believe that?

With rail transport, steam-powered maritime shipping, and ironclad warships, combined with Chakra Armor—and even the climate issues resolved by the Geothermal Heating Device developed by Sōsetsu Kazahana—the Land of Snow is set.

A Land of Snow like this would rival the Land of Fire, the top-ranked nation, in strength. Coupled with its perfect geographical location and no need to worry about invasion from other countries, tsk tsk, it is truly a hybrid of the Polar Bear and the British. Once it fully develops, the Land of Fire might not even be able to defeat it! That is, of course, assuming they don't send out Konoha genin.

Given the current development trends in the Ninja World, compared to the Land of Snow, other nations are essentially feudal dynasties facing an industrial powerhouse. If not for the existence of something as unreasonable as chakra, the Land of Snow's foundation would have made its status as the sixth great nation of the Ninja World an absolute certainty.

The potential of the Land of Snow is now fully primed; it is just waiting for a lucky soul to inherit it! Whoever can tie themselves to Koyuki Kazahana will inherit one of the Five Great Nations. Moreover, given Koyuki Kazahana's current situation, one need not worry at all about the opinions of the daimyos from other countries.

First, in the eyes of other daimyos, the Land of Snow is still just a barren, isolated land overseas.

Second, the current daimyo of the Land of Snow is Dotō Kazahana.

Third, Koyuki Kazahana is currently using the alias Yukie Fujikaze, and the person I am ostensibly pursuing is none other than Yukie Fujikaze.

As for what happens if, after the deed is done, it is discovered that Yukie Fujikaze is the heir to the Land of Snow? Oh? What a coincidence, right? I really am quite lucky. But by then, the raw rice will have been cooked into porridge, and the children will be old enough to run errands; surely the daimyos of other countries wouldn't want to interfere in our internal affairs? Although Namikaze Minato is a decent man, character and statecraft are two different things. Having been raised under Konoha's tutelage since childhood, Minato's vision is still far too limited. While I wouldn't dare say that Namikaze Minato will inevitably become as muddled as Hiruzen Sarutobi in his old age, as a ninja ages and their strength declines, there are some things beyond one's own control.

However, as age increases and strength declines, and as rising stars emerge one after another, a Hiruzen Sarutobi who no longer possesses the strength to hold the fort must resort to conspiracies and schemes to compensate for the imbalance caused by his waning power if he wishes to remain securely in the Hokage's seat and maintain Konoha's operations.

Looking across the Ninja World, it is not just Hiruzen Sarutobi—look at Hanzo the Salamander, the demigod of the ninja world. If every leader possessed the strength of the Third Raikage, who would be willing to rack their brains and ruin their reputation to engage in conspiracies?

In a world where power is king, this is something no leader can avoid. It will not change based on your personal character or will. Even if you are as sunny and cheerful as Minato, internal and external pressures will force you to break your own bottom line step by step, unless you are willing to be eliminated by the era and step down to let a better person take your place.

It can be said that the only exception among leaders in the Ninja World is the Third Tsuchikage, Onoki. This is mainly because Onoki's Dust Release does not rely on physical constitution; it is purely a technical skill. Even with a body like Onoki's, which suffers from occasional back pain, his ability to perform Dust Release remains unaffected. Under such circumstances, he naturally does not need to resort to the dirty tactics Hiruzen Sarutobi uses to harm the new pillars of Konoha.

However, thinking about it this way, it seems Namikaze Minato might also follow in Hiruzen Sarutobi's footsteps.

Namikaze Minato's signature technique, the Flying Thunder God Technique, is highly dependent on physical constitution and neural reflexes. An elderly Minato, even if not suffering from senility, would certainly experience a severe decline in neural reflexes. Of course, this decline might not affect his daily life, but it would absolutely deal a heavy blow to his combat prowess. This impact might even be worse than Hiruzen Sarutobi's current situation! After all, Hiruzen Sarutobi is a master of all five nature transformations, so he still possesses comprehensive strength.

Namikaze Minato, however, is the type who relies entirely on one trick to conquer all. If that trick were to fail, Minato would have no choice but to act like Naruto in the original story and charge in headlong with a Rasengan. Although Namikaze Minato's combat talent and on-the-spot reactions are extremely strong, without the Flying Thunder God Technique, such talent could at most support him in reaching a pseudo-Kage level. In the Ninja World, he would still be considered an expert, but such strength is clearly insufficient for the Hokage of Konoha, the number one great nation.

Moreover, an elderly Minato with such strength would have to face a group of powerful, unruly Uchiha Clan members who possess the Izanagi. The problem is, after sitting as Hokage for over a decade and tasting the flavor of power, could Namikaze Minato actually step down? Even if he could, to whom would the seat of the Fifth Hokage go? His son, Naruto Uzumaki, has very high talent; with some reasonable maneuvering, it is not impossible for Naruto to become the Fifth Hokage.

One must realize that there is no such thing as "avoiding suspicion" in the Ninja World. The First died, the Second took over; the Second died, the Second's disciple took over. The Third stepped down, the Third's grand-disciple took over; the Third's grand-disciple died, the Third himself shamelessly took over again. After the Third finally struggled through another decade and died, it turned out to be the Third's disciple again, and finally, the Fifth also met with disaster! As it turned out, a teammate of the Third came along as the "Fifth-and-a-half," and well, the Fifth-and-a-half was killed, and the Fifth woke up and continued to serve. Finally, when the Fifth retired, one looks at the Sixth... good heavens... it's the Fourth's disciple... there is no need to guess what comes next; the Seventh is definitely part of the same clique.
