Mangekyō Sharingan 11 Fugaku’s Mangekyō is initially a closely held secret; Gen also possesses the Mangekyō. Gen measures its ocular power at 10,000 points or more 2 11.

History

Konoha and the Nine-Tails attack

The Uchiha are one of Konoha’s two founding clans. Their compound remains in the village’s core district after Gen’s intervention prevents accusations surrounding the Nine-Tails attack from forcing their relocation 19 47. Before that attack, Gen secretly drains ocular power from nearly every Sharingan user in the clan. Widespread weakness prompts medical examinations and an investigation by Fugaku and the elders; Gen later admits what he did 2 12.

Under Fugaku, the clan develops Gen’s Dojutsu Transfer into a paid service. The plan lets members exchange ocular power and replenish eyes used for Izanagi. The clan also offers Sharingan to outsiders, intending to retain control over their continued use by supplying replacement ocular power 12 13 23.

Conflict with Konoha’s leadership

The clan’s growing strength sharpens its conflict with Konoha’s senior leadership. Fugaku refuses an attempt to send Uchiha forces to the Kirigakure battlefield, while Hiruzen Sarutobi fears that Dojutsu Transfer could upset the village’s political balance 62 63. After Shisui’s death, Fugaku brings Gen, the Fourth Hokage, and witnesses from other clans into a confrontation with Konoha’s higher-ups. Danzō’s transplanted Sharingan are exposed, and Fugaku recovers the clan’s eyes 132 134 135.

The Land of Snow

Gen’s position as daimyo gives the Uchiha an alternative base beyond Konoha. Fugaku views the Land of Snow and the Welfare Lottery’s income as a way for the clan to survive without depending entirely on Konoha’s leadership 124 125. Later, deceased Uchiha are revived through Impure World Reincarnation and reunited with relatives. Madara, Izuna, and Tajima are among the ancestors brought back; Fugaku asks them to help build the clan’s nation in the Land of Snow 255 257 258.

Abilities & Techniques

Sharingan

  • Awakening the first tomoe is a major hurdle; advancement to two and three tomoe can follow with age and stimulation from life or combat. The clan’s testing identifies roughly eight years old as a generally suitable age for first awakening 81 210.
  • The Mangekyō is substantially harder to awaken. Excessive use of an ordinary Mangekyō can cause blindness 61 81.

Dojutsu Transfer

  • Gen’s Divine Grace can absorb, store, and transfer ocular power. The clan uses it as a relay through which members can sell excess power or purchase it for their own eyes 12 110.
  • Replenishment lets Mangekyō users such as Fugaku avoid permanently exhausting their own ocular power 61 62.

Izanagi and Susanoo

  • Izanagi can rewrite an unfavorable outcome, including death, at the cost of a Sharingan. The clan had previously restricted knowledge of the forbidden technique after an internal conflict 25 28.
  • Susanoo is demonstrated by Gen, Fugaku, and Inabi. Fugaku distinguishes his Complete Body Susanoo from an ultimate form that he says requires the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan 3 61 253.

Organization & Resources

  • Leadership: Fugaku serves as clan head, with elders and family branches retaining their own interests. Disputes over the ancestor-revival plan expose tensions between those branches and Fugaku’s leadership 13 253 254.
  • Welfare Lottery: The clan opens lottery shops in Konoha and cities across the Land of Fire. Gen also uses the enterprise to employ clansmen with less ninja talent in an intelligence network 31 143.
  • Stored Sharingan: Fugaku reports sixty usable spare Three-Tomoe eyes from recently deceased clan members when planning distribution to influential Konoha families 23.
  • Police Force: Clan members can mobilize the force in disputes with Konoha’s leadership 132.

Notable Members

  • Uchiha Fugaku — clan head who oversees the ocular-power trade and leads the clan in political and military confrontations 12 132 280.
  • Uchiha Gen — creator of the clan’s Dojutsu Transfer service and daimyo whose Land of Snow position provides the clan with another power base 12 124 125.
  • Uchiha Itachi — Fugaku’s son, involved in Dojutsu trading and later a Mangekyō wielder 59 223.
  • Uchiha Inabi — Mangekyō wielder who supports Fugaku’s leadership 223 253.
  • Uchiha Setsuna — elder who opposes some clan decisions and repeatedly challenges Fugaku 14 255.
  • Uchiha Shisui — clan prodigy whose death leads Fugaku to demand answers from Konoha’s leadership 132.
  • Madara Uchiha — former clan head revived alongside Izuna and Tajima during the Land of Snow initiative 28 257.
