Within the Senju Clan Grounds, Uzumaki Mito personally straightened Senju Genma and Kushina's clothes, reminding them not to bully their classmates at school.

Uzumaki Mito knew how strong Senju Genma was. He would completely overwhelm the students at the Ninja Academy.

Uzumaki Kushina had trained with Tsunade and Genma, too, and was far stronger than an ordinary student.

She loved Konoha deeply, and was even willing to give her life for it. So she didn't want the two of them using their strength to hurt their fellow villagers.

"I understand." Uzumaki Kushina nodded again and again.

Senju Genma nodded along. He didn't like bullying people, anyway.

But if someone bullied him or the people close to him, he'd strike back, even if they were from the same village.

Uzumaki Mito patted both children on the head and said, "Genma, protect her!"

"Don't worry. With me around, no one can bully her," Senju Genma said firmly.

That earnest look moved Kushina deeply.

"Big Brother Genma~"

"Yeah~"

As they spoke, they leaned toward each other, but a pair of large hands stopped them.

Uzumaki Mito snorted and said loudly, "You haven't even grown your first whiskers, and you're already copying people in love. Where's Tsunade?"

Everyone knew that since Senju Hashirama had died, Uzumaki Mito had been single for decades.

Those two brats were all over each other right in front of her. Weren't they deliberately rubbing it in?

She couldn't stand it for a second.

The room's door swung open, and Tsunade hurried inside. "I'm here! What is it?"

Uzumaki Mito's health was getting worse by the day. Tsunade spent every day on edge, afraid something might happen to her.

Uzumaki Mito turned away, no longer looking at the annoying Senju Genma and Kushina. She waved a hand and said, "I'm tired. Take them to school. And remind Nawaki to look after them both."

"Yes. You should get some rest," Tsunade replied, then seized the chance to pinch Genma's adorable cheek. With her other hand, she took Kushina and led them out of the room.

On the way, Tsunade escorted Senju Genma, Kushina, and Nawaki to school.

Nawaki was four years older than Kushina and had started school four years ago, so he knew his way around the Ninja Academy.

Genma and Kushina were both the type who didn't like talking to strangers.

Nawaki was the complete opposite. It seemed like everyone in the street was his friend. He greeted people enthusiastically as they passed and proudly introduced them to his younger brother and sister.

The four of them soon arrived at the Ninja Academy.

Among all the new students, Senju Genma was undoubtedly the most eye-catching.

He was handsome, and he was also the young clan head of the Senju Clan.

The girls were captivated by his looks.

Among the boys, some who belonged to ninja clans were already figuring out how to get on Senju Genma's good side. The rest could only look at him with envy and resentment.

As they sized up Senju Genma, he sized them up in turn, already reading their thoughts from their faces.

Senju Genma smiled at her. Beside him, Kushina had already puckered her lips.

She'd also spotted Uchiha Mikoto in the distance.

Uchiha Mikoto wore a faint smile that made her easy to feel close to.

But Kushina sensed a huge threat coming from her.

Uchiha Mikoto blushed under Senju Genma's gaze and ran back into the classroom.

Senju Genma turned his attention away and only managed to soothe Kushina by cuddling close to her.

Students generally spent six years at the Ninja Academy. After they enrolled, they were assigned to a class, with a Chunin from the village serving as their teacher.

Unless something unexpected happened, they would keep the same teacher and classmates for all six years.

Senju Genma and Kushina were lucky enough to be assigned to the same class.

Their teacher was named Kato Taka. He was a ninja from the Kato Clan, a small clan in Konoha. He hadn't learned the family's secret Spirit Transformation Technique, but he'd trained his fingers to be incredibly nimble and had become quite skilled at controlling ninja tools.

He also had a nephew named Dan Katō, a well-known genius in the village who had become a Jonin at just twenty-one.

Kato Taka led his students to the classroom.

Senju Genma noticed that most of the class belonged to ninja clans. They wore their clans' crests, while civilians made up only a small fraction.

Senju Genma naturally took a seat in the back row by the window, and Kushina sat beside him.

The girls naturally began competing for the seats in the back.

"Genma seems to be looking at me. He definitely wants me to sit here. This seat's mine."

"Get lost, you idiot. I'm from the Sarutobi Clan."

"Do you think I won't dare hit you just because Lord Hokage and the head of my Shimura Clan are close?!"

"Who's scared of you? Come on, fight me one-on-one!"

"You're fighting dirty! You're trying to trick me, ambush me!"

Watching the girls who looked ready to tear the classroom apart, Senju Genma felt a pang of fear. So being too handsome wasn't always a good thing.

He couldn't help pulling Kushina close, just to feel a little reassured.

Watching the children from the major clans getting ready to fight, Kato Taka raised his voice. "That's enough! Stop it! What do you think you're doing? Get to your seats!"

Kato Taka certainly didn't want to offend the major ninja clans, but he was even more afraid of their parents than he was of the children.

Kato Taka went first, briefly introducing himself before stepping down from the platform and giving the students their turn.

The children from the major clans were all very confident, eagerly going up one after another.

The confident clan kids soon finished their introductions, and the blond boy walked up to the platform.

"My name is Namikaze Minato. I like reading, and there's nothing in particular I dislike. My dream is to become a great Hokage recognized by the villagers."
