Dolif stared at Uchiha Gray in shock, but his fear from before was gone. His face full of admiration, he shouted, "Gray, you're incredible!"

"If I'd known sooner that Konoha had a powerful and kind ninja like you, I would've gone to Konoha to find you years ago!"

Dolif's voice trembled, and his eyes shone with excitement.

If he'd found Uchiha Gray's help for the Land of Waves sooner, then the country would never have ended up like this, with Gato tormenting them at will!

Uchiha Shisui glanced at Dolif, his expression odd.

"What is it, Shisui?" Dolif asked in confusion.

Their conversations along the way had shown him that Uchiha Shisui was a kind-hearted ninja with tremendous strength.

His name had also made Dolif realize that this was none other than the powerful ninja known as Body Flicker Shisui during the Third Shinobi World War.

He was probably one of Konoha's most elite fighters!

Uchiha Shisui helplessly gestured toward Gray's youthful face. "Although I often forget how old Gray is because of the things he says, the truth is he's only eight years old."

"If you'd gone to Konoha a few years earlier, Uncle, Gray wouldn't even have started at the Ninja Academy yet."

It was a sad and shocking truth.

Only then did Dolif realize just how young Uchiha Gray was, despite his immense strength.

Uchiha Gray's behavior had often made him forget the boy's age.

Uchiha Gray rolled his eyes inwardly as he watched the two of them praise him nonstop.

He'd only come to the Land of Waves to complete a mission and help Dolif out along the way. How had he ended up sounding like some peerless good Samaritan?

"By the way, Shisui, you've awakened those eyes, haven't you?" Uchiha Gray said calmly.

"What!"

Uchiha Shisui's mind went on high alert. He stared at Uchiha Gray in shock.

How was that possible?

He'd never shown those eyes to anyone in the Uchiha Clan.

Even the clan head didn't know. How had Uchiha Gray found out?

He stared intently at Uchiha Gray, as if looking at some terrifying monster.

"My senses are extremely sharp. These Sharingan of mine told me. Even though I've awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, I still feel a sense of dread when I face you."

Uchiha Gray spoke calmly.

That was the truth. When his Three-Tomoe Sharingan faced Uchiha Shisui,

it gave him the impression that the enemy before him was impossible to defeat!

It was as if he were being suppressed by someone of higher standing.

"I see." Uchiha Shisui let out a long breath. Still shocked, he gave a wry smile. "Gray, your senses are incredibly sharp."

"No one in all of Konoha has ever been able to tell that I awakened those eyes just by sensing them."

The two of them didn't bother hiding anything from Dolif. More precisely, the moment Uchiha Gray began speaking, he had already cast a genjutsu.

Dolif was still chattering away, loudly praising Uchiha Gray.

But he couldn't hear a single word the two of them said.

"But Gray, how did you find out about this? You should know that unless someone in the Uchiha Clan awakens these eyes, even other members of the clan rarely know they exist."

"My father told me when I was young," Uchiha Gray said calmly. He'd prepared that explanation long ago.

"Back then, my father told me that above the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, there were even more powerful eyes. At first, I didn't believe him. It wasn't until I awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan and faced you that I realized my father might have been telling the truth."

Uchiha Shisui understood at once.

No wonder Uchiha Gray had coaxed him into leaving the village and helped him complete the mission.

"The two complement each other. The right eye can be called the short-term Kotoamatsukami, while the left eye is the long-term Kotoamatsukami!"

Uchiha Shisui smiled gently as he explained, "The short-term Kotoamatsukami can also change an enemy's will, but it can only alter minor things."

"For example, it can change one of his habits or make him kill someone he isn't deeply connected to. But if he has a very close bond with that person, using the right eye is unlikely to work."

"The Kotoamatsukami in my left eye is the long-term version. It's a powerful genjutsu that can instantly change someone's will, whether they agree to it or not!"

Uchiha Gray couldn't help drawing in a sharp breath.

But the right eye controlled by Danzo was like some dithering old man.

And you'd already told Shimura Danzō and Sarutobi Hiruzen about this secret!

Uchiha Gray looked at Uchiha Shisui as if he were an idiot. After a moment, he asked to make sure, "Don't tell me you've already told Shimura Danzō and Sarutobi Hiruzen that you have the Mangekyō Sharingan and Kotoamatsukami."

Under Uchiha Gray's murderous glare, Uchiha Shisui helplessly nodded and sighed.

"Gray, I wish I'd become friends with you sooner."
