"Senpai."

An anxious voice pulled Yuxian from his sleep.

He opened his eyes and saw a girl's face in his blurry vision.

Her hair was light pink, she wore glasses with dark frames, and her large purple eyes held an urgent gaze.

"Junior classmate..."

Yuxian felt he must still be dreaming, lost in a sweet dream of the cute junior classmate he'd been longing for.

He closed his eyes again.

"Senpai, don't sleep!"

Seeing Yuxian close his eyes again, Mash immediately stepped forward and pulled him up from the bed.

Yuxian finally woke up. Looking at Mash in front of him, his face showed suspicion.

"Who are you?"

Yuxian remembered he was at an offline gathering with a group of moon-dwellers, and everyone was having a great time.

But he didn't remember there being such a cute girl among them. Her junior classmate cosplay was incredibly lifelike, with no sense of incongruity.

As if possessed, Yuxian reached out his right hand, pinched Mash's cheek, and pulled. He'd never been this bold.

"Senpai!!!"

Mash's face turned bright red from Yuxian's sudden action, her expression one of annoyed anger.

"Everyone from Chaldea is gone, Senpai, please get up!"

Chaldea?

What Chaldea? Don't get too into character. Call Babbage over and I'll believe you.

Yuxian shook his head inwardly, ignoring Mash. He looked around and found himself in an unfamiliar room.

He was a little confused. Although he'd had a bit too much to drink yesterday, he vaguely remembered returning home in the end.

He looked down at what he was wearing. It was still the same casual clothes from yesterday, unchanged.

He then looked at the back of his right hand, where he had stuck a sticker of the seal script for 'Yu'.

He had bought it specifically for the offline gathering. The font was deep red, looking very much like a Command Spell.

As Yuxian focused his gaze on the pattern on the back of his hand, an unbelievable scene unfolded before his eyes.

This display, like a sci-fi movie's light screen, made Yuxian's heart uneasy. This was definitely not achievable with known technology.

He was suddenly startled. He looked up again, carefully observing the junior classmate in front of him, from her appearance to her clothes and demeanor. There were absolutely no signs of cosplay; she was a perfect junior classmate...

"Mash? Are you Mash Kyrielight? And this is Chaldea?"

"Senpai, are you still not awake?" Mash felt Yuxian must be groggy from sleep, asking such a question.

"Yes, Senpai is Chaldea's only Master."

Mash was anxious. After answering this question, she ignored Yuxian's abnormal behavior and quickly said, "Senpai, everyone from Chaldea is gone. Let's hurry and find out where they went."

"Gone?"

"Yes. When I woke up this morning, I didn't see any staff or Servants. Even Fou is gone. In the entire Chaldea, I only found you, Senpai."

Upon hearing this, Yuxian immediately rolled out of bed. He also wanted to see what this legendary Chaldea looked like and confirm his suspicions.

He and Mash searched all over Chaldea. In reality, only Mash was searching; Yuxian was just following behind her, familiarizing himself with this strange place.

They checked every room of every Servant, Da Vinci's workshop, the kitchen, the dining hall, and the infirmary, one by one.

Yuxian finally confirmed that he had truly transmigrated. This was the Human Order Preservation Institution, Chaldea, and he was its only Master.

The two walked all over Chaldea but found no trace of anyone, as if everyone had vanished suddenly and simultaneously.

Finally, they arrived at the central control room.

A globe-shaped object was operating there. This was Sheba, an instrument used to observe humanity's future.

"Senpai, Sheba is operating normally. Could they have performed a Spirit Transfer?" Mash said, quickly stepping forward to check the Spirit Transfer records.

Yuxian knew nothing about this and let Mash operate it while he curiously examined Chaldea's most important device from the side.

After checking Sheba, Mash shook her head in disappointment, "There are no Spirit Transfer records."

This result was within expectations. Not everyone in Chaldea liked Spirit Transfer, and besides, the staff members other than the Servants did not meet the conditions for Spirit Transfer.

Mash continued, "Senpai, I've also discovered something very bad. Outside Chaldea is no longer the original snow-capped mountain, but a dark, unknown space."

"Unknown space?"

"Yes. According to the information displayed, this unknown space is likely uninhabitable by any life form."

Mash frowned. This discovery made her feel the situation was even more complicated. She wasn't good at analysis and thought it would be great if Da Vinci and Mr. Holmes were here.

Chapter 2: So You're a Lolicon

1994, Fuyuki City.

"Senpai, this is a modern city."

Yuxian and Mash arrived in a modern city. The streets were bustling with pedestrians, and their appearance didn't attract any attention.

Yuxian breathed a sigh of relief. In such a modern metropolis, regardless of whether they could find the cause of Chaldea's anomaly, at least he and Mash could live here normally.

He even felt a sense of anticipation for their future life.

After some inquiries, Yuxian learned where he and Mash were.

"Senpai, this is Fuyuki City, which has not been destroyed. Will there be people from Chaldea here?"

Yuxian abandoned his earlier unrealistic idea. Fuyuki City was not a safe place; too many major events had happened here.

Yuxian hadn't eaten anything since he woke up. Back at Chaldea, his emotions had been fluctuating, so he hadn't felt particularly hungry.

Now, after walking so long in Fuyuki City, his body was becoming weak, and he could no longer bear the hunger in his stomach.

Mash was also hungry, she had just been enduring it without saying anything. Seeing his state, she encouraged him, "Senpai, just hold on a little longer."

"I can't anymore. Let's go to the shopping street and find something to eat."

Yuxian didn't care about Chaldea or the Holy Grail War anymore; all he wanted was a good meal.
