Before heading to the battlefield, Kiyoshi went to see Rin Nohara.
"Rin, you'll be going to the battlefield tomorrow. I have a gift for you."
Kiyoshi handed her a kunai, its surface marked with black formula patterns.
"This is..."
Rin Nohara's gaze sharpened slightly as she noticed that Kiyoshi's kunai resembled the one Teacher Minato had given Kakashi.
However, Teacher Minato's was a specially made three-pronged kunai, while Kiyoshi's looked like an ordinary kunai, completely unremarkable.
"I placed a Flying Thunder God Technique mark on it. As long as you carry this, I'll be able to track your Space-Time coordinates and come help you whenever I need to."
Kiyoshi hooked the kunai's ring with his index finger and spun it nimbly once before flicking it out. It flew at a tricky angle and slid neatly into the kunai holster strapped to Rin Nohara's thigh.
The sharp kunai did not cut her tight pants. It only made her feel a faint chill.
"Can you use that ninjutsu from so far away?"
Rin Nohara realized that Kiyoshi had grown stronger again.

Perhaps that was also one of the Uchiha Clan's specialties. Rin Nohara remembered that quite a few Uchiha could throw several shuriken at once, make them collide with one another, then use the impacts to turn or accelerate them—an outrageous technique.
"Of course it isn't too far, Rin. Teacher Minato should be even more proficient with the Flying Thunder God Technique than I am. Otherwise, why do you think he was able to rush from the front lines to Kannabi Bridge so quickly? Even Sister Mikoto didn't make it in time."
At those words, Rin Nohara's eyes flickered.
