Background

Mikoto was present at Naka Shrine when Fugaku accepted Kiyoshi as an Uchiha and arranged for his admission to the Ninja Academy. She offered to handle the child’s arrangements. Later, Fugaku tasked her with monitoring Kiyoshi and helping him develop ties to the Uchiha Clan. 1 6

As Kiyoshi’s reputation grew, Mikoto became personally invested in his place within the clan. She investigated his clan connections, brought him profiles of eligible Uchiha women, and ultimately received his declaration that none compared to her. 95 188 189
