Mysterious Arrival

The scene of Earth appeared clearly inside the crystal ball.

It was desolate enough to make your heart sink—a field of ruins, the ground riddled with cracks and craters, rubble strewn haphazardly everywhere, and dust still clinging to the broken walls.

The sky hung low, leaden clouds packed together like a lid, blotting out the light. Now and then, a bolt of lightning split the heavens, making the devastation below stand out even more starkly.

The wind howled across the battlefield, kicking up tiny stones that smacked against the charred rocks with a crackling patter, as if adding a little sound to the dead silence of the land.

At the very center of the scene, a black-haired youth hovered in midair.

He stood tall, wrapped in the wind, his hair streaming wildly and his robes snapping. There was an inexplicable calm about him—not weakness, but a restrained, imposing force like an undercurrent in the depths of the sea, ready to erupt at any moment.

His hands hung naturally at his sides, his fingertips glowing faintly. Ripples stirred in the air beneath his feet, as if he were stepping on invisible waves.

Behind him, a thick tail swayed lazily, as if ready to tear apart anything that stood in its way.

"This boy..." Kibito Kai leaned toward the crystal ball, nearly pressing his face against its cool surface.

He stared intently at Jiang Che, his brows knitted together. "His ki really is extraordinary. Look closely, and it seems like an invisible barrier is wrapped around his entire body. But why can't I sense his true strength?" He waved a hand through the air, trying to grasp something, but caught nothing but empty space.

"Because that's God Ki!" Old Supreme Kai suddenly said, his voice dropping. Wariness and awe appeared in his eyes.

He slowly straightened up, but kept one hand pressed against the crystal ball.

"Mortals can't sense God Ki at all. Only we deities can detect it. It's like how you can't see the wind, only feel it brush against your skin—that boy's ki is just like that wind." His fingers traced the surface of the crystal ball, trembling faintly despite himself.

"But... he's clearly a Saiyan!" Kibito Kai suddenly pointed at the tail, his voice rising. "How could a Saiyan have God Ki? It's impossible!" His face was a picture of disbelief, and beads of cold sweat had formed on his forehead.

Old Supreme Kai fell silent for a moment, his gaze fixed on Jiang Che like a sword.

His breathing grew shallow and rapid. After a long while, he spoke, his voice low and trembling. "If my guess is right... he's the legendary being described in the ancient texts..." He weighed every word carefully.

"What?" Kibito Kai pressed him for an answer, leaning forward, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

"God of Super Saiyans." Old Supreme Kai slowly uttered the words, each one striking the temple like a heavy hammer.

His gaze grew distant, as if he were looking through time and seeing page after page of faded handwriting in the yellowed ancient texts.

"That power has already surpassed the limits of a Super Saiyan and stepped into the realm of the gods. To be honest, I always thought it was just a legend. I never imagined it truly existed..." His voice trembled as he spoke, though it was hard to tell whether he was excited or afraid.

Kibito Kai drew a sharp breath, his chest heaving.

The crystal ball's image was reflected in his pupils. His lips parted slightly. "God of Super Saiyans... Does that mean he's even stronger than Son Goku and the others?" Even he thought it sounded absurd, but the facts before him left him no room to deny it.

"Stronger hardly covers it..." Old Supreme Kai stared at the crystal ball, barely daring to blink. "Look over there. Baby's attack is completely useless."

In the scene, Baby plunged down from the sky, wrapped in dark purple energy like a falling meteor.

He roared and swung a punch, the force of it tearing through the air with a shrill whistle. The loose stones on the ground were swept up by the blast and scattered in every direction.

That punch had enough force to shatter a mountain range.

He slammed his fist toward Jiang Che's chest.

Just before his fist could reach Jiang Che, a thin red glow appeared over the surface of his body.

It wasn't dazzling, but it was like an invisible barrier, stopping Baby's attack a few inches short.

With a dull thud, Baby's fist struck what felt like an invisible iron wall. The recoil flung him backward.

He staggered back several steps, each one stamping a deep crater into the ground as rubble flew and dust billowed.

Yet his attack hadn't stirred so much as a ripple in Jiang Che. Even the red glow hadn't wavered in the slightest.

"This..." Kibito Kai was completely stunned, his mouth hanging open in an exaggerated circle, his jaw almost hitting the floor.

His stiff finger pointed at the crystal ball. His voice was almost inaudible. "Baby's a monster who can parasitize Saiyans! Every attack of his can shatter mountains, yet this boy didn't even move!" He turned to Old Supreme Kai, shock and disbelief in his eyes. "It's like an ant biting an elephant!"

"Looks like something big is about to happen." Old Supreme Kai drew a deep breath, his voice echoing through the temple. The stars beyond the window seemed to tremble at his words.

"The appearance of this boy could very well change the balance of the entire universe..."

His gaze pierced the void, as if he could already see smoke rising over a distant battlefield.

At that very moment, on the battlefield on Earth.

Smoke and dust stained the sky a murky yellow. The ground was split open, with scorching lava seeping through the cracks, and the air reeked of scorched earth and blood.

The wind roared, hurling rubble against the ruins with dull thuds.

Several distant mountain peaks had been sheared off halfway up, their rubble piled into mounds. Trenches scored the ground like terrible scars.

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" Baby's furious roar shattered the silence, making even the air tremble.

He ground his teeth, veins bulging and muscles swelling, then suddenly swung a fist at Jiang Che!

The punch carried enough force to destroy a city. Its shockwave tore through the air with a piercing shriek, like a roaring beast.

But Jiang Che merely turned slightly aside, his movement as light as a leaf caught by the wind.

His feet barely shifted. He simply twisted his body, and the punch skimmed past the hem of his clothes before smashing into the boulder behind him. With a thunderous BOOM, the boulder exploded, rubble flying as a cloud of dust blotted out the sky.

Jiang Che's long red hair fluttered in the wind, dancing like flames beneath the gloomy sky.

A teasing smile played on his lips, and his eyes were full of disdain and amusement.

"That all you've got?" Jiang Che asked softly. His voice was as calm as if he were making casual conversation, but every word stabbed into Baby's heart like a knife.

"Some grand claim that you're the strongest in the universe. That attack of yours isn't even enough to tickle me."

"You're asking for death!" Baby roared, a wild red light flaring in his pupils.

He opened his mouth wide, and a dazzling ball of light gathered deep in his throat. It grew brighter and more intense, as if it were about to devour everything around him.

Then a massive energy wave blasted from his mouth!

The energy wave was a full ten meters across, dark red, with twisted arcs of electricity coiling around its edges. It hurtled toward Jiang Che with the force to destroy heaven and earth.

The air along its path heated instantly, turning into white mist. It plowed a deep trench through the ground, melting the soil and rock in its path until they bubbled and hissed.

The rubble was swept into the air and ground directly into powder by the energy wave, scattering as ash.
