His cultivation had reached its peak, and for the time being, it could not be improved further. This was not only because He Yu was unclear about the methods for Primordial Spirit cultivation, but primarily due to a lack of conditions; he would need to reach the era of the Giant Beasts to break through to the Primordial Spirit realm.

He Yu felt a deep sense of anticipation. The Primordial Spirit realm was not merely an increase in cultivation and strength; most importantly, it allowed for transformation. The thought of once again possessing a human form left He Yu incredibly excited and filled with a myriad of emotions.

Once his cultivation reached a temporary plateau, He Yu devoted himself wholeheartedly to researching his Demon Summoning Banner and defensive Daoist techniques. Just how powerful was the aura of Gods and Devils? He had no idea. Although he was confident that his current strength surpassed that of the early Primordial Spirit stage, he was, after all, only at the late Golden Core stage; the fundamental gap remained unchanged.

In his spare time, he enjoyed the feeling of being high above the rest. Having thousands of vassals come to pay homage and billions of demons bow in submission made He Yu feel immensely gratified. A sense of controlling everything and dominating the Primordial World welled up within him. Although his cultivation was far inferior to Dijun and Taiyi, he was enjoying a status that they longed for but had yet to attain.

By now, the offerings from the various demons were no longer worth a glance. Even spiritual essences that had been precious for tens of thousands of years were of little use to He Yu. His demon body had been tempered to its limit; consuming any more spiritual essence would only result in the stored Heaven and Earth spiritual energy settling deep within his body.

It seems I can forget about the Demon Summoning Banner; I don't have the slightest clue how to proceed! At this point, He Yu had to abandon his wild ideas regarding the Demon Summoning Banner. Lacking any knowledge of artifact refining, attempting to forge such a supreme treasure was nothing short of a pipe dream!

His research into defensive Daoist techniques was very successful. Building upon the foundation of the Celebratory Cloud Green Lotus, He Yu had perfected it significantly. Not only could it provide all-around defense, but its power had also doubled. When utilized at full strength with his current cultivation, its defensive capability was simply terrifying; he feared that even a mid-stage Primordial Spirit expert would find it difficult to break. Now, he felt thirty percent more confident in facing the impending Calamity of Giant Beasts.

I can control the consciousness origin of at most twenty-five demons. It seems I need to give this some serious thought! He Yu began to calculate in his mind. With the Demon Summoning Banner now a lost cause, he had to settle for second best. Since he couldn't rely on quantity, he had to pursue quality; the twenty-five demons he controlled had to be powerful in cultivation so that their strength as Giant Beasts would be formidable.

In truth, one couldn't blame Wolf Two; He Yu's demon body was now more than ten times larger than it had been before!

A demon's body corresponded to their cultivation. Now that He Yu's body was over ten times its previous size, Wolf Two couldn't even imagine what level his cultivation had reached. He had already felt unfathomable before, but now?

"What are you panicking about? Something happened? What could possibly happen? Is there a Demon King trying to rebel?" He Yu looked at Wolf Two's appearance, feeling a sense of self-satisfaction. He couldn't help but think of Journey to the West; it seemed every demon encountered by the Monkey King had to go through this routine! But this was the beginning of the Primordial World!

Now that his cultivation had greatly increased, He Yu was eager to find a demon to test his skills against. If a Demon King were truly rebelling, he would welcome it. It would be best if they weren't too weak—it would be even better if hundreds of Demon Kings rebelled together! It would serve to establish his authority and allow him to test his strength.

"Great King! During this round of tribute, the Hedgehog Demon King and the Violent Crocodile Demon King did not arrive. They have both been severely injured." He Yu's shout startled Wolf Two, who looked at He Yu with fear and reverence. Recalling the matter at hand, he hurriedly explained. These two Demon Kings were powerhouses among the ranks, no weaker than the Earth Bear King. For both to be severely injured was no small matter!

"Oh? What happened?" He Yu's interest was piqued. He didn't care about the life or death of the two Demon Kings, but the fact that something could leave them both severely injured aroused his curiosity.

"My subordinate received news from the minor demons under their command. Not long ago, a miraculous region was discovered in their territory, spanning ten miles in size. Located within a canyon, this region is filled with dazzling golden radiance. The Hedgehog Demon King and the Violent Crocodile Demon King were injured when they approached the golden light. It is said that two streaks of pitch-black smoke surged out from the Golden Radiance Region. They were so fast that even the two Demon Kings couldn't react before being struck. After escaping, the two Demon Kings were surrounded by black energy, severely injured and unconscious, and they have yet to wake up!" Wolf Two also found it incredible. In his eyes, the two Demon Kings were extremely powerful; how could they be so severely injured by mere black smoke?

"Golden Radiance Region? Black smoke?" He Yu's curiosity grew intense. Two Demon Kings at the peak of the early Golden Core stage were left unconscious? It seemed the situation was not simple! Since his research into his self-created defensive Daoist technique had stalled, he might as well go and see for himself; perhaps he could even gain some benefits!

Could it be an Innate Spiritual Treasure? Upon learning that it was difficult to even approach, He Yu's heart stirred. After giving his orders, He Yu immediately summoned the demon officials. The shock and horror they felt upon seeing He Yu's demon body again goes without saying. He Yu laid out his decisions, and although the Demon Kings were unhappy about being under Wolf Two's jurisdiction, they had no choice but to accept it with He Yu's backing.

Once everything was settled, He Yu immediately rode his demon cloud toward the territories of the Hedgehog Demon King and the Violent Crocodile Demon King. Their territories were adjacent, located thirty thousand miles due west of Demon King City. At the speed of He Yu's current demon cloud, it wouldn't take long to arrive!
