Background / History

Xuanji was originally He Yu, whose past-life memories persisted after his transmigration. By tracing his past thoughts, he recalled regaining consciousness as a little River Crab in the ancient Primordial World, while the circumstances surrounding his transmigration remained obscured by an unknown power. 77 122

After taking human form, he adopted the name Xuanji and left Mount Buzhou to seek the Light of Taishi. He had already created twenty-four Inner Mansion Primordial Spirits, making the dangerous division of his soul the foundation of his future cultivation. 36

His pursuit of strength quickly brought him into conflict with the Yin Yang Spirit. After being captured and tortured, Xuanji escaped, absorbed the Yin Yang Domain's energy, stole the Yin Yang Breathing Soil and Sun Moon Pearl, and deliberately let suspicion fall on the Illusion Clan. 41 42

Xuanji can assume human form and conceal his aura, allowing him to travel the Primordial World without drawing the attention of giant beasts. His original form is a River Crab, and he later remade himself with a Chaos God-Devil crab body. 36 108 122
