Li Wei glanced at the monitor. It was a security camera placed at the main entrance of the police station, capturing the entire area surrounding the front gate.

The survivors Nina spoke of were five men—five extremely burly men, at least according to Nina.

One of them wore a black tactical vest, his thick muscles exposed, wielding a weapon that resembled a heavy machine gun. Wherever the bullets swept, the zombie horde fell in droves, like wheat being harvested.

The others carried cold weapons of varying sizes. Nina was astonished to find that one of them was even holding an iron club similar to a spiked mace.

But this club was far too thick—at least the girth of a normal person's thigh—and covered in dense, jagged metal spikes. Any zombie struck by this mace was instantly reduced to a pile of rotten meat. This man was even taller and broader than the one holding the machine gun.

The remaining three included one holding a wooden crossbow, one wielding dual blades, and the last one was the most exaggerated of all: he held a shield in his left hand and an axe in his right, dressed exactly like a medieval knight.

"Li Wei, look! Why are they dressed like that? Did they rob a museum? That man's gun is impressive, but I've never seen anything like it!" Nina said, her face full of surprise, and she started to head toward the main gate.

"Wait!" Li Wei grabbed Nina's hand, stopping her.

Even without using the Eye of Perception, Li Wei knew clearly that these five people definitely came from Shadow Street just like him, and were all Reincarnators who had undergone some form of enhancement. However, they were certainly not part of the first batch.

What were they doing? Li Wei observed closely that the five were cross-referencing something, and throughout the process, they kept looking toward the interior of the police station, as if they knew something they were looking for was inside.

Seeing the five preparing to enter, a possibility suddenly occurred to Li Wei.

"Damn it!" Jumping up from his seat, Li Wei immediately grabbed Nina and ran out, rushing through the corridor to the innermost office.

With superhuman strength, Li Wei kicked open the locked door. After pushing the bewildered Nina inside, he spoke a single command in a stern tone before hurrying away.

That command was: "Stay in here. No matter what you hear, do not come out until I come to get you!"

Nina felt a bit angry. Who did he think he was, ordering her around? Yet, she didn't take a single step out of the room. Despite her reluctance, Li Wei's unique aura made her obey the command subconsciously. Moreover, thinking of the Asian man's resolute face, Nina found herself blushing unexpectedly.

Li Wei ran at top speed. He was certain that these five men had come for him—or rather, for the first batch of Reincarnators like him.

He could roughly deduce their mission: it was surely to kill a certain number of hostile Reincarnators. However, they clearly had an advantage: they could obtain the locations of the first-batch players from the Guardians.

Most likely, it was marked directly on their map. The formation the five used to enter the police station was a standard tactical formation; they wouldn't have done that if they hadn't known enemies were inside.

The crossbowman was stunned by the sudden strike. Although the Remote Cloud Piercing Palm didn't deal high damage, it was incredibly fast, causing him to stagger and lose 30 HP. The Shield Warrior was clearly stronger; the moment Li Wei's sword was about to strike, he raised his shield to block.

In an instant, Li Wei had killed three people, leaving only the dumbstruck Guardian and the man wielding dual blades. Li Wei didn't even need to look to know their remaining health.

Their hearts hammered wildly in their chests. Was the gap really this wide? No, it must be that the opponent possessed peculiar weapons and powerful skills to be this monstrous.

Furthermore, Zheng Yutong and the others were still in this mission world, so Li Wei chose not to complete the kill mission for the time being.

"You're lucky; I won't kill you today!" Li Wei said to the Guardian, who lay unable to rise. Ignoring the man's curses, he collected the four Skill Books and the Guardian dropped by the deceased, then left the lobby.
