Li Wei glanced at the monitor. It showed a camera mounted at the police station's main entrance, capturing the entire area around the doors.

The survivors Nina had mentioned were five men—five exceptionally burly men, at least in Nina's eyes.

One of them wore a black combat vest, his thick muscles exposed. He carried a weapon that looked like a heavy machine gun, and wherever its bullets swept, zombies fell in swathes like stalks of wheat.

The others all carried cold weapons of various sizes. Nina was surprised to see that one of them even wielded an iron club resembling a spiked mace.

But that club was absurdly thick—about as thick as an average person's thigh. Its surface was covered in dense metal spikes, and the zombies struck by it were reduced to heaps of mangled flesh in an instant. This man was even taller and more muscular than the one with the machine gun.

Of the remaining three, one carried a wooden crossbow, another wielded two blades, and the last was even more outlandish: he held a shield in his left hand and an axe in his right, dressed like a medieval knight.

"Li Wei, look at them! Why are they dressed like that? Did they rob a museum? That man's gun looks pretty good, though I've never seen one like it before!" Nina exclaimed in surprise, moving to open the main doors.

"Wait!" Li Wei grabbed Nina's hand and stopped her.

Even without using Eye of Perception, Li Wei knew these five had come from Shadow Street, just like him. They were all enhanced Reincarnators, but they definitely weren't from the first batch.

From the very beginning, Li Wei had used his remarkable memory to memorize the faces, features, and numbers of several hundred people. These five clearly weren't among them, which left only one explanation: they were part of the second batch of Reincarnators.

That raised a question.

His mission was to kill five hostile Reincarnators from the second batch. What was the second batch's mission? Could it also be to kill Reincarnators from the first batch?

That seemed highly likely. If so, these five should have been searching for Reincarnators from the first batch. Why had they come to the police station? They shouldn't have known he was here.

What were they doing? Li Wei watched closely. The five were comparing something, and throughout the process, they kept looking toward the police station, as if they knew there was something inside they wanted to find.

As the five prepared to enter, Li Wei suddenly realized what might be going on.

"Damn it!" He sprang from his seat, grabbed Nina, and ran out, racing down the corridor to the innermost office.

With his Superman-like strength, Li Wei kicked open the locked door. After pushing the bewildered Nina inside, he gave her a single order before hurrying away.

"Stay in here. No matter what you hear, don't come out. Wait for me to come get you!"

Nina was a little angry. What was that supposed to mean? Who was he to order her around? And yet she didn't take a single step outside the room. She was reluctant, but Li Wei's imposing presence made her obey without thinking. Besides, when she thought of the Asian man's resolute face, Nina found herself blushing unexpectedly.

Li Wei ran at full speed. He was certain the five men had come looking for him—or, more accurately, for Reincarnators from the first batch like him.

He could also roughly guess their mission. They must have been tasked with killing a certain number of hostile Reincarnators. But they clearly had an advantage: they could get the locations of the first batch of players from a Guardian.

The most likely possibility was that the locations had been marked directly on a map. The five entered the police station in a textbook combat formation. They wouldn't have done that unless they already knew enemies were inside.

If that was the case, running away would be useless. Their "radar" would track him down, so he might as well fight them head-on. With a metallic clang, the shield stopped the slash. Li Wei's Strength was two points lower than his opponent's, leaving him at a disadvantage. He dealt no damage to the shield warrior—but damaging him with his sword hadn't been Li Wei's real aim. His true killing move was Rock Earth Spike.

The five men had gathered close together in their formation, allowing Li Wei's Rock Earth Spike to inflict maximum damage. Several sharp stone spikes burst up from the ground, piercing two men straight through in an instant.

The muscular man with the machine gun and the fallen crossbowman died on the spot. They had 80 and 150 health, respectively, and against Rock Earth Spike's attack power of around 200, they didn't even have a chance to scream.

Li Wei's pupils suddenly widened, their shape turning into a cross. The air in front of him rippled violently. Papers flew off the tables as if caught by a gust of wind, while the wooden floor was wrenched upward by an invisible force, plank by plank. Like a ferocious beast roaring as it charged, the floor surged toward the enemy.

The second brother, the man with the spiked mace, had never seen anything like it. He tried to block with his weapon, only to realize it was useless.

The immense impact shattered his mace into more than a dozen pieces, then blew his arm apart with a bang, turning it into a cloud of blood. But Mind Impact's power didn't stop there. The man was hurled more than ten meters away and blasted through a window in the police station lobby. He was already dead before he hit the ground.

In an instant, Li Wei had killed three men. Only the stunned shield warrior and the man with the twin blades remained. Li Wei didn't even need to look to know how much health they had left.

Their hearts pounded. The gap between them was far too great. No, it had to be because their opponent had an unusual weapon and powerful skills. That was the only way he could be so absurdly strong.

This one-armed man's rating must have exceeded B. Otherwise, he couldn't have been this powerful. The shield warrior roared as white light surged around the short axe in his hand. He swung it viciously at Li Wei.

With a crash, the axe struck the floor. It was like a grenade exploding beside him. The powerful blow carved a crater more than two meters wide in the floor, and its force sent Li Wei stumbling back several steps.

Li Wei wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with one hand, thinking how close that had been. If he hadn't dodged and had chosen to block instead, he would have lost his right arm too.

The shield warrior pressed his advantage and charged again, swinging his short axe. But by then, Li Wei could use Mind Impact again. Without hesitation, he unleashed the skill.

Seeing the danger, the shield warrior hurriedly raised his massive shield in front of himself. A deafening roar rang out, and he was flung back like a kite with its string cut, crashing into the wall. The sturdy concrete wall collapsed with a rumble.

Besides, Zheng Yutong and the others were still in this mission world, so Li Wei chose not to complete the kill mission just yet.

"You're lucky. I'm not killing you today," Li Wei said to the fallen shield warrior. Then, ignoring the man's curses, he collected the Skill Books and the Guardian dropped by the four dead men before leaving the lobby.
